Quick mock draft

Interesting to see what happens with OT's this year. Last year, they were all clustered mid to late first round, this year there being mocked more towards the top. Better OT's, bigger need, or less good other position players at the top of the first?

Well, it's passing league and you need to keep your QB upright.

Jacksonville has a need for an OT.. to protect Gabbert..

This is taken from National Football Post for team needs- Jacksonville Jaguars: WR, OT, FS, CB

Not sure if you take Alshon that early..and your other option is Dre Kirkpatrick..

We know from experience is that the Jags always surprise us..

From Tony Pauline "Word from scouts @Shrine Game is Mike Adams/T/Ohio State will be drafted much earlier than most predict"

Can't fault logic. Do you have Mike Adams ahead of Jonathan Martin?

Yes, they do have a need along the offensive line. But it seems that overall Jonathan Martin is the higher rated prospect compared to Mike Adams. Or maybe even DeCastro.

Adams is a senior, Martin a junior and by all accounts, Gene Smith prefers seniors. On the other hand, Adams served that ban and Gene Smith likes high character guys.

Good point on the ban aspect..

I wonder what the Dolphins do here.. I would be shocked if they didn't take Trent Richardson

But it's not only about who is the best at that position, but also him against all other positions. And Martin seems to be much higher thought of than Adams.

12. Jonathan Martin, OT, Stanford
33. Mike Adams, OT, Ohio State

NFL Draft 2012 - ESPN

10. Jonathan Martin OT Stanford 94
Mike Adams OT Ohio St 83

Couldn't see Adams position on the bigboard, but his grade would put him somewhere in the 30s I think.

So Martin seems to be consistently in the lower teens, and Adams seem to be atleast 20. So is it worth taking him at pick 7?

I'd be looking for a really high upside guy if I was them, unless they really like Tannehill. Richardson, Kendall Wright or Brockers if I was picking for them.

Tyson Alualu (Sp?)
Blaine Gabbert

Wouldn't put it past him.

Miami Dolphins are on the clock

Yeah, I'm not saying it's impossible. They may think Adams is better, and I really have no opinion on either. It just looks like Martin is the consensus higher value pick. And maybe they are wrong, evaluating talent is hard.

Can't pick again yet but I'd say the Dolphins would go with Jonathan Martin because Marc Colombo is trash ar RT.

I can't pick either. Have to consider Michael Floyd here. Even a pass rusher like Courtney Upshaw. Any FISH fans out there?

Who knows, they might take stab at Tannehill.

I would go D-Line for the Dolphins. Kendall Langford, Paul Soliai and Philip Merling are scheduled to hit FA this year. It is a safer pick at this stage of the draft than getting Jonathan Martin. How about Devon Still to join Jared Odrick from Penn State to the Dolphins? I have read that Carolina would be the perfect spot for Brockers, so why not the Dolphins at 8 instead?

they may not stay in the 3-4 though now that Nolan is gone.

They have Wake, Odrick, and Starks as a good foundation for 4-3 Line. Coples might also be the pick here.

OK, because we've slowed down, the next person to make the pick gets it regardless of whether you are within your five pick limitation.

Miami Dophins select Trent Richardson

The Panthers are now on the clock
