One of the biggest dodged bullets for the Pats. Can't really understand why they wouldn't just keep him. Now, he's close to untouchable for the next 2-3 years.

I love every single Edelman clip. Total gamer. Also totally loyal and devoted to both his QB and coach. The get off the field clip is epic on multiple levels

Edelman is one of the toughest players in the NFL.

That hit he took by Kam Chancellor in SB49 is one the craziest yet least talked about things of that game. That was a full on helmet-to-helmet that twisted Jules in half. It was also a 3-rd and 14 with 10 minutes to go. He was also most definitely concussed on the play, and yet not only did he not drop the ball, he got up and tried to run, even though he was down by contact. He continued to play and scored the winning TD.

That guy is a modern day Spartan. A Patriot legend.

I think the show was really focused just on the game, which I thought was fine. There's certainly been no shortage of coverage of the historical context everywhere you look. And I think two days later a lot of us are still like "How the bleep did that just happen?" I liked that these guys took the time to talk about the defense and several little things that went into the game. I felt like it was some (OK, a fraction) of the things BB would point out in film study.

As far as Brady: The one thing they could have said more about was his absolute precision on those final drives. The footage of those passes, the perfection of those throws both in accuracy and spiral/form, was absolutely breathtaking.

I think this was after he posted 100+ catches in 2013. Maybe it was the year before. I know he hit FA and re-signed after quite some time not one but 2 years in a row.

I think people are talking about 2012. He got injured against the Dolphins and landed on IR, Dola was signed as Welker replacement and Jules came back after essentially no interest for a very cheap deal. Then he had his big season in 2013 and actually had better paying offers but decided to stay here for less money to play with Brady. Bill Simmons touches on that in his SB49 retro diary post on Grantland (see Retro Running Diary: Super Bowl XLIX).

Someone on TV once said that if he wasn't playing football, he should go to UFC, would be hell of a fighter.

Edelman is fiery, but keeps a sense of humor on the field. After "The Catch" he lined up across from Alford on the next play and said "crazy, my bad".

finally watched Inside the NFL. Maybe because i have replayed the game so many times but I thought the SB 49 was better produced by NFL Films. Sad that neither BB or Brady were mic'ed up.
