Oh, forgot my man, Otis Wiley from Michigan State. He was injured through much of the offseason stuff and definitely has some talent.

Damn. The Jaguars took Zach Miller. I wanted the Pats to add him..

Antonio Appleby, could be a nice addition @ ILB.

+1

Also Wopamo Osaisai raw athletic talent who could make the team if he's a quick learner.
Joshua Mauga has the size and speed like Mayo, but has been hampered by injuries and maybe overlooked

Ian Johnson, Moore, and Sheets have all been signed...too bad

Im going to throw this out there half jokingly, but there are some comparisons (and one SEVERE contrast) to be made to #12

Rudy Carpenter... Relies on accuracy (like brady, he can develop his deep ball), handles pressure in the pocket well, tough and competitive, and smart.

Then of course there is the fact that he is a major cry baby... maybe not getting drafted has scared some humble pie into him?

I can't believe I just compared Rudy Carpenter to Tom Brady...

Isn't Kettani committed for two years?
Interesting signing.
Do the Navy guys get to try to make the team, then back to sea if they don't? Or are their rights held for two years?

I don't know. There have been changes in the rules since Ecklel.

From the CBS Sportsline draft profile:

Positives: Good straight-ahead speed for his size. Strong short-yardage runner who lowers his pads, protects the ball and keeps his legs churning in the pile. Has a sliver of shiftiness in the open field, and will run through arm tackles. Quick into the hole as a lead blocker. Usually picks the right target and has good initial pop. Sustains well, gets his hands into the jersey, brings his hips and moves his feet. Savvy enough as receiver to find open space between the linebackers. Gives good effort on special teams return and coverage units. Strong enough to fight through traffic to make a tackle and create an inside lane by taking his man out of the play.

Negatives: Only adequate height and build for a fullback, and would be little more than a short-yardage option as a tailback. Will get stood up in the hole and pushed back by bigger linebackers after initial hit. Not sudden in his movements, will be out-quicked at the second level by linebackers and safeties. Inexperienced as a receiver, with only 10 catches for 50 yards in the past two years due to Navy's run-oriented offense. Naval commitment will keep him out of the league for two years.

Reiss reports the 2 Navy players have not been signed anywhere yet.

I'm thinking that Jason Taylor is a more legitimate possibility, after it became clear that the Pats have made a lot of future line selections. We'll see. :singing:
