Game Day Thread PRESEASON GAME DAY THREAD: Patriots vs. Packers 8/13

THIS IS OUR LIVE GAME DAY THREAD:

This is where we gather to follow things on Game Day. Obviously, emotions tend to be high so if anyone gets a little crazy, the use of the “Mute” button is encouraged on anyone who may be annoying to you to control your experience and to allow the moderators to also enjoy the game.

At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.

Lastly, we have never allowed promoting the use of any illegal streaming. This is illegal and will be enforced by copyright holders, which puts this site at risk. DO NOT POST ANY LINKS to those platforms.

This also means, there absolutely cannot be any mention these platforms, spaces, special characters, etc. - so do not get creative in trying to work around this request.

If you do you will have your account suspended.

I do not have the means to deal with legal issues and have already been contacted previously, so this absolutely needs to be adhered to. If you see any illegal links, please report them so a mod can remove them.

Man, I wish I was going to the game tonight. Can you imagine the roar of the crowd when Brady steps onto the field ? Can you imagine an even bigger roar if he throws a TD pass, it'll be Super Bowl loud !

Wish this game wasn't tonight got Bourbon street going on instead. Hope they run the score up on these fools.

The game is live on NFLN, I hope we delay the game with a tribute to Brady on live TV

If Brady plays tonight it would be a BIG statement to the league

Why? It's the first preseason game. Why would it be a big statement to the league?

Anyway, I don't want Brady playing behind a makeshift OL. If three of five starters are out and he didn't practice, let him sit this one. Let Garoppolo run for his life back there.

From what I can tell, Brady seems quite eager to play in this game, preseason or not. Him playing tonight would send a message to those trying to keep him off the field: "No matter what you try and do to me, nothing is going to keep me out of the game!"

Michael Giardi @MikeGiardi

Tom Brady has absolutely expressed to the coaching staff he wants to play, per sources. But Bill will make (or has made) final decision

Don't do it, Bill.

Jimmy is still having nightmares about that Bills game according to sources.

It would be awesome on multiple levels if he came out wearing the number 5.

Report: Tom Brady set to start the Patriots preseason opener https://shar.es/1txIDH via @projo

Y'all pray for Brady behind that O-Line. By the grace of God, may he get the ball out of his hands quickly and accurately.

Breer suggesting that those close to Brady are partly angry that he is "paying for the sins of the team during Spy Gate". He might as well have said Belichick as that was the direction it was being implied.

As for Brady starting I disagree with it. That OL is way too unproven to throw Brady behind them. I'm saying prayers.

Heard a rumor that you can stand in the offensive huddle at the 50 yard line and hear an overweight woman that just housed two slaw dogs, nachos, and a diet coke in the upper bowl slightly **** herself. Cool idea, Kraft! The stadium was REAL loud before and now it's definitely going to be louder now that Biff and Bambi can talk shop while sipping martinis and casually perusing the "match" from field level.

I think it's kinda cool. I guess I'm the only one. Never been to a game, so I may just be naïve.
