Game Day Thread PRESEASON GAME DAY THREAD (8/22): Patriots vs. Saints

THIS IS OUR LIVE GAME DAY THREAD:

This is where we gather to follow things on Game Day. Obviously, emotions tend to be high so if anyone gets a little crazy, the use of the “Mute” button is encouraged on anyone who may be annoying to you to control your experience and to allow the moderators to also enjoy the game.

At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.

Lastly, we have never allowed promoting the use of any illegal streaming. This is illegal and will be enforced by copyright holders, which puts this site at risk. DO NOT POST ANY LINKS to those platforms.

This also means, there absolutely cannot be any mention these platforms, spaces, special characters, etc. - so do not get creative in trying to work around this request.

If you do you will have your account suspended.

I do not have the means to deal with legal issues and have already been contacted previously, so this absolutely needs to be adhered to. If you see any illegal links, please report them so a mod can remove them.

That #55 is a magical kind of number.

Toon might not make the team

Griffen just got laid out LOL.

WOW nice move by Sheard

(I know it's a backup RT, but still)

Sheard really brings it. Strong player.

plus for
Ryan Griffin standing in there, got smacked but took the throw

Ryan's technique is really bad.
The irony about Ryan is that he was always talking to Revis. It seemed like he was always in his ear when the cam would show the sidelines. He's worked out with Revis. Revis is one of the most technically sound corners to ever play the game. LOL How did Ryan get worse after having that guy on the team to tutor him?

Why is Sheard still out there?
My belief is that the guys that played into February with a few dings are getting tons of rest to get them ready for the season. Jones and Nink are filed into that category. Plus, I think Sheard just needs more reps in the system.

One thing I feel much better about is Garrop.

He looked awful in camp and a half second too slowq making reads last week...but he looks much better, much more comfortable even with this Gump lineup out there
I told you there was nothing to worry about, did I not?

They should bulk up Logan Ryan and play him at SS - good enough in coverage to cover TEs and he can really tackle. Bonus is he doesn't play at cB anymore.

Have been impressed by Malcom Brown when I've focused on him.

Looks like the most explosive potential 3rd down back we have speed/juke wise.

I think only four plays. Run up the middle for at least 5, Pass where he redirected for the 1st. Nifty catch on a throw behind him to keep stride for a nice pass play. Something else, I think. I have been watching him, but my memory could be faulty.

Blount appears a bit weak for him ...
