We have a predict the season contest which is stickied.

Now that we know more about our team and the teams we will be playing the rest of the season, let's do a bye week prediction for the next 7 games.

Here's the remaining schedule. Next to the game place a W by the game you think the Patriots will win and an L by the games you think the Patriots will not win

Nov. 18 at Carolina Panthers, 8:40 p.m.W
Nov. 24 Denver Broncos, 8:30 p.m L I so want this to be a W
Dec. 1 at Houston Texans, 4:25 p.m W
Dec. 8 Cleveland Browns, 1 p.m L.
Dec. 15 at Miami Dolphins, 1 p.m W
Dec. 22 at Baltimore Ravens, 8:30 p.m W.
Dec. 29 Buffalo Bills, 1 p.m. W

This will give the Patriots a 12-4 record and probably a 2nd seed in the playoffs.

sorry....I can't predict the next seven MINUTES....

Nov. 18 at Carolina Panthers, 8:40 p.m.L
Nov. 24 Denver Broncos, 8:30 p.m L
Dec. 1 at Houston Texans, 4:25 p.m W
Dec. 8 Cleveland Browns, 1 p.m W
Dec. 15 at Miami Dolphins, 1 p.m W
Dec. 22 at Baltimore Ravens, 8:30 p.m W.
Dec. 29 Buffalo Bills, 1 p.m. W

The board goes into total meltdown after back to back losses but the team is focused on what's important getting ready for the playoffs and entering the tournament with momentum. 12-4 as the 2 seed sets the Pats up nicely to make a deep run and avenge that Nov 24th loss in the AFCchampionship. Bill almost never loses to a team they get to see again.

7-0, its tough, but the pats sharpen the offense up and the D still plays good enough with minor nicks. We roll into the playoffs with the #1 seed, get healthy and see what comes in the playoffs......

I want to say 5-2 or 6-1, but I have a feeling we go undefeated in the second half of the season. It's homerish for sure, but I can't bet against this team.

Pats will lose in MIA and i think at home vs Denver

I think that 5-2 is a realistic goal to end up at 12-4, which hopefully will be enough to get us that all important #2 seed.

I think we lose to DEN and also one other team. There are many tough defenses coming up. 5-2 would be impressive in my opinion.

Nov. 24 Denver Broncos, 8:30 p.m L I so want this to be a W

If you want it to be a win all you have to do is put a W next to it and your wish shall be granted.

How can anyone be so presumptuous as to the future record of this team when , as things stand right now, the Pats are ONE MORE KEY INJURY from catastrophe. I don't care if God Almighty was coaching this team, if anyone thinks the Pats can take another injury to a starter on the OL, the DB, the LB or the DL, then they should be nominated for Optimist of the 21st Century award...7-2 at this juncture with this spate of severe injuries is nothing short of miraculous IMO. As it stands NOW, I believe the Pats will make the playoffs...beyond that...all I see is extremely cloudy water.

14-2 after Hernandez is found not guilty and catches the game winner v. DEN thanks to excellent pass blocking from Ritchie Incogneetus.

Not really.

The Scheduling Gods were favorable early this season:

Week 1 - Bills, rookie quarterback
Week 2 - Jets, rookie quarterback
Week 3 - Buccaneers, joke team with a joke for a head coach
Week 4 - Falcons, frauds

It's been a long time since BB schemed Peyton into oblivion. He's due, assuming he has health in the secondary. I expect a win vs. Denver.

I'll say 13-3, with the loss coming in an injury or trap game or something. But optimism assumes the health of Brady, Talib, McCourty, C. Jones, at least one of Ninkovich/Carter, at least two of Arrington/Dennard/Ryan, at least one of Ridley/Vereen, and at least one of Amendola/Dobson.

That's your bong water I imagine. I guarantee we WILL have at least one injury to a starter between the OL,DBs,LBs,and DL. It's the NFL.And we will we will more than likely tough it out no worse than 5-2.It's what this team does this time of year. Where you been? Arkham?

this is just suppose to be a fun exercise during the bye week.

Well said Joker. A team starting so many rookies, UDFA's, low draft picks, and former back-ups has to be ecstatic at 7-2, never mind going to the playoffs.

With this mix of players, provided they stay healthy, I could see a loss at Houston against an unknown QB, which seems to give BB problems at times, and a loss at Carolina, with their mobile QB and good defense. Plus, the Pats don't like the southern heat after it turns cold in NE.

For some reason I think that the Denver game will turn out to be one of Manning's worst games ever. Manning will definitely have problems with the Pats new and improved pass rush. I hope Matt Patricia puts the Giants Superbowl plan in, and plants Manning in the turf on every pass play.

Nov. 18 at Carolina Panthers, 8:40 p.m. W - I always like our chances after a bye
Nov. 24 Denver Broncos, 8:30 p.m L - I think all things being equal, we can beat Denver. But on a short(er) week I think Peyton is too much.
Dec. 1 at Houston Texans, 4:25 p.m W
Dec. 8 Cleveland Browns, 1 p.m W
Dec. 15 at Miami Dolphins, 1 p.m L - It's tradition
Dec. 22 at Baltimore Ravens, 8:30 p.m W
Dec. 29 Buffalo Bills, 1 p.m. W

12-4. Hopefully that's enough to get us to 2 seed, and hopefully KC can hold on and keep Denver on the road. I may not like our chances against them on Nov. 24, but I have a hard time believing they would beat us twice in the same season, both at Gillette.

Agreed. Predicting individual games at this point is stuff for Vegas and knock-out pools.

They have seven games left. I think they'll go no worse than 4--3 and no better than 5--2.

Why? Beats the hell out of me. In August, I didn't have them losing to CIN or the NYJ and thought they would have a tough team beating the Saints. Who knew?

They have two Division games (@MIA and BUF), three games against good teams that have been playing pretty well (@CAR, DEN and CLE) and two road games against inconsistent or problem-plagued teams that are still threats to win on "Any Given Sunday" (@HOU and @BAL).

The way this year is going, I'm not going to put Division Games in the W column until the final whistle, so I'll call that 1--1. The good teams? I'll call that 2--1 or 1--2. The inconsistent teams? I'll call that 1--1. So, that adds up to around 4--3, with a 3--4 downside that I think is highly unlikely. If everything falls right, they go 5--2. Who the hell knows? If you put a gun to my head, I'll go with 4--3.

I have no way of defending any of that other than to say it's my gut after 50 or so years of following the NFL. That's about as "scientific" as I'm gonna get, because I have no idea how any one game is going to turn out. There are too many unknowns on the current and possible injury front and on all the intangible stuff, like the mood in the Dolphins locker room in six weeks or the weather when Peyton comes to town, Carolina playing it's biggest TV game in years and in front of a Home crowd (arguably since the SB), whether they are playing for anything in Week 17, etc., etc.
