1. Steve Belichick - yeah, I went there! he should be the DC this year...wanna see the melt down it would cause if it happened...
He has come a long way since Devin McCourty said Steve was freaking out coaching the S's as he told him he didn't know what he was doing to taking the 99th ranked Huskies defense to 9th in the country in 2024. That is a massive turnaround. You know the Kraft's are aware of this. I think he resurfaces in the NFL as a DC and that will bring another meltdown discussion on how Bob let the wrong guy go. Shanahan wanted BB to be DC this season, does he contact Steve after this season? It would be a great idea because I'd look at it as Steve will consult with Bill on game plans.
2. Ben Johnson, Detroit Rock City... the sustained turn around of Goff has to be one of the best things we've seen
He had a quick turnaround with McVay with the Rams, but he is what he is - dependent on his supporting cast and designed plays working. Goff is not a guy that will take over games.

Is Ben Johnson a real offensive guru or is he Gase, McCoy, Nagy, McDaniels or even Brian Billick type frauds who forget how to run an offense after they left their former team?

Ben Johnson, Detroit
Adam Stenavich, Green Bay
Kingsbury, Washington

Those are my 3 for now. Stevanich is a new one, but you have to like how Love became an MVP candidate last year, and how they kept on rolling with Malik Willis filling in this year.
That's Wolf's gameplan... young QB who sat with a bunch of young WRs. I don't know chit about Stenavich, but the day that Mayo is let go, Stenavich is getting texted from someone "close to the Patriots".

Judd Fisch. Oops. Jedd Fisch.

Also find it funny that my poll on saleh coming here was shat on, but now people are considering it. Love it!

said it before also….Johnson, kingsbury would be nice. Then throw a **** ton of $ at cokeface bellichick to come back.

I know i said offensive minded guy earlier, but id love to see what vrabel can do with a real qb. Plus he might be the most willing to come here out of the other top options

Vrabel's gonna end up in Cleveland.

Not sure why he didn't more interest during the last hiring window. Gotta be a reason.

Tim Walz

He had a good team in Missesota.

Thanks for the insight on Steve Belichick... Did not know half of that...

As for Goff, I have always thought of him as the guy who needed mcvay to get along... And now I think he's blossomed in Detroit... And I must admit I thought he would fail there. He's exceeded all expectations... I give credit to Ben Johnson for that... We need to at least look at him in a serious light if we do move on from, as you like to say, Jerod Tomsula this year...

I like the list... They have all been productive, and are worth exploring

Hes too scawwy wooking!!

I find it hard to think these successful business owners are physically afraid of Vrabel. It's not hard for me to think that he might be a DB and they don't wanna deal with his crap. Jules and Brady have told some stories about him since retiring. Might be the case that he's just unlikeable unless you're "his people". Maybe?

stefanski made his move... handed over the play calling duties to the OC Ken Dorsey... the cynic in me says its so he can place the blame on him when things don't improve... i think cris carter said it best, something something fall guy...

I do too , just joking about the physical intimidation i always found it a funny angle. He is a bit of a hardass though

Does a HC have to be all that likable? I’m fairly certain BB wasn’t hired for his girlish coquettishness and presser ability. You’d want someone in control, with a possible mean streak. I wonder if there’s any yelling going on at halftime in the locker room by Mayo. I’d hope so..

Spags may also keep AVP which I don’t want to take him from Maye.
Im not ready to do that yet.
I think AVP should stay on in some kind of role.
It’s Covington and Mayo who I think are unfortunately the weak links currently.
AVP as a QB Consultant for Maye? Sure. New OC to replace AVP? Absolutely.

If Maye keeps improving, there will be a line of coaches wanting a piece of him. I can't think that Kraft isn't having major second thoughts about his crap process.

Scary thing I heard tonight from Breer was this situation is a lot like the Cowboys and Garrett. Garrett got 9 years because he was seen as part of the Jones family.

Please god, I hope the Krafts are smarter than that. I think that you could get a couple of people here to be a coaching staff for the Patriots and they would be better than they are right now.
I hope you're right.

Then we hire stefanski immediately .. an offensive minded HC who can game plan and call offensive player .

There are 8 HC openings next year and we are the least desirable.

GB OC seems great... Both shanahan and mcvay influences. But will he come ?

Jeff Fisch and Longo - Drake maye ex OC should also be in consideration if we hire a defensive HC. Steve spagnuolo would be an unorthodox and stabilizing HC.
