Whoever you're talking to... me or @MAC10 or both. You're not being fair at all. No one is dismissing the severity of Hamlin's condition here. Do we have to preface every comment with a reminder that Hamlin's health is the priority? You can chase anyone around the forum and shout them down as being insensitive anytime they comment on something not directly related to Hamlin's well-being. That's just ridiculous. We all know what's going on there, and I'm sure most everyone is concerned for Hamlin's well-being, but it shouldn't shutdown discussion of everything else on the forum.

It's not supposed to shut down discussion, it's just a (hmmmm probably a little unfair) reaction.

The shift up and down the board, especially for winning teams, is as close to nothing as it gets... while admitting "it ain't nothin' but..."

It's not the diff b/w 1 and 5, and 1 might be a bust regardless... I mean, I guess you're right, it's there, but it's like asterisk-there.

If the Bills win this week they will be the #1 seed and no need to play a makeup game with the Bengals.

If the Chiefs win Saturday, the Bills needed 2 wins to get the #1 seed.

The game matters unless the Chiefs lose to Raiders.

Ya, it's a blatant lie. Of course the logistics of the game are one of their primary considerations. I am pretty sure the medical professionals have Hamlin's well-being handled and will not be set back by the NFL considering other matters.

Just tell the f'ing truth, and screw those who complain about being insensitive.

If I had to guess, this game is going to get cancelled - really the only teams that it would hurt are the Bills and Bengals, mainly in terms of seeding. Buffalo obviously lost an opportunity to remain as the 1 seed had they won last night, and the Bengals lost a shot at the 2 seed. Chiefs make out like bandits - all they have to do is beat Las Vegas for the 1 seed and they are golden.

You're setting a precident if something like this were to occur again. What if the game decided if the team made the post season or not? Sorry, games canceled better luck next year.

I don't think they'll let it happen that way. The game will probably be replayed the following week and playoffs get pushed back a week. Time will tell.

Imo, this is the correct decision. Play Wk 18 games as scheduled and see what happens. More reason to root for Stiddy vs Mahomes, as unlikely as a LVR win is. Then, Bills keep #1 w/ a win, KC stays at #2 and Bengals #3 w/ a win.

From twitter (posts that have already been shared on this thread). Although, re-reading the schefter tweet I think I conflated the week 18 schedule won't be changing with- the week 18 schedule hasn't been changed yet.

If cancellation weren't on the table, I think they would have already rescheduled the game by now or at least announced that they are planning to reschedule at a later date.
