I'd be shocked if the Bills-Bengals don't play tonight if they get word that Hamlin is doing ok. If he's not, then finishing the Bills-Bengals game in week 19 and pushing all the playoff games another week makes most sense. They are not going to give the NFC team any advantage by allowing that conference to move forward as planned - if they did this the NFC team would obviously have an extra week off before the super bowl while the AFC team does not.
The NFL is dealing with a young man's life now. They have to get this right. It's more important than playing football. Not sure what the answer is, I think we have to wait on any updates. I would be shocked if football is played tonight though.

Forza Hamlin !!!
Prayers for him
Good luck

Playing tonight gives Buffalo 4 days until the NE game.

This isn't baseball.

Comparing the job function and their relationship to coaches of a QB to the other 10 players on offense is absurd.

He hasn't earned the right because you say so? What is that criteria exactly? It is also absurd to say a player has not earned the right to hold a coach accountable for ineptitude when it was the coach who made the decision to put the player in the position in the first place.

Look- you don't like Mac. It's obvious. All he has done is yell. He hasn't called the coaches out during a press conference. Lighten up. It's competitive sports. **** happens and it has zero bearing on wins and losses.
i want to move on because i will not change my mind about it, only one thing, there isn't a single player i don't like. Criticism does not mean for me to not like a player

i don't think i would be up to play tonight after what happened yesterday if i were a player

They are not going to play a Tuesday night game then another one on Sunday. The PA would have something to say about that.

I agree - that's why I said it depends on how Hamlin is doing. If they can quickly diagnose today that he can make a full recovery, then maybe the teams can give it a go tonight.

They played a Tuesday game during Covid. The league can always move the Pats-Bills game to next Monday night if need be. If they don't play tonight, then either it gets cancelled or they move it to week 19.

The cold reality is they need to make a football decision sooner rather than later. And it doesn't look like it'll be an easy one from any angle. First things first, though, respect the situation by not making any announcements while the kid is in critical condition.

It just ain't happening today

Did the teams play 5 days later

The nation does not want to see Mac Jones in Primetime.

Shouldn't the Bills be flying back right now to get ready for tonight?

As I saw somebody on Twitter point out, next Monday is the college championship game. If Pats/Bills is next Monday (I’m still skeptical), they’d probably do it in the afternoon in order to be done before the college game starts.

Brady still yells on the sidelines and breaks tablets and it's just "being competitive"
Sure. Brady throws tantrums. Steve Young threw tantrums. Peyton threw tantrums. Terry Bradshaw threw tantrums. In a perfect world I would prefer Mac be somewhat stoic and workmanlike on the field and every now and then show some fire but when you step back and think about it who cares? As long as he isn't throwing teammates or coaches under the bus and pointing fingers its irrelevant how he behaves just as it was irrelevant how Tom chewed out BOB, Josh, WRs and throws Surface tablets. It doesn't matter and this whole, "He hasn't earned the right to throw tantrums and should focus on playing football.", is crazy. WTF do people think he is doing now?

Well, players are expected to play four days later quite often for TNF. Wouldn’t be shocked if the NFL still creates that similar expectation. Pats Bills def could get moved to Monday.

Thoughts and prayers to Hamlin and his family.

I am curious how NFL handles this game though. Either Hills plan on short rest, or entire playoffs get pushed back a week?

Thursday night games happen following a Sunday game. Short breaks happen.

I am sure Brady and the Bucs would love that scenario.
