Mainly by running. Stop the run.
Yes, they ran the ball surprising well. 164 yds at 5.3 yards a clip.
Stroud threw for 250.
The game ended up a laugher with he 2 defensive TDs, but Houston very easily could have scored 30 on offense if Stroud didn't throw that terrible pick and the 2 terrible fumbles.
Again, they moved the ball well, and then Stroud did his best to try and lose the game.

Agreed, because Stroud made 3 terrible mistakes, but they moved the ball very effectively all game.
Not really.
First drive ended at midfield with a punt
Second gained 30
Third was a td drive
4th gained 2 yards
5th 29 and a punt
6th was a good drive ended with a pick
7th was 3 and out.

Thats not moving effectively all game, that’s 2 good drives.

Then Pitt gave up on the last 2

Gonzo has had 2 this year too right?
Yes
He was in the protocol in November
He looked a lot better than Collins after game
6 days may be too short to clear protocol for Collins
We will see on Gonzo

Not really.

They had 5 drives of 40 yards or more.
They had 414 yards of offense on 9 drives, averaged 46 yards a drive.
They moved the ball well, 2 promising drives ending with terrible Stroud mistakes.
Pitt didn't give up on Houston's last 2 drives. Their second last drive on O was very early in the 4th quarter when it was a 7-6 game.
Folks are talking like their offense is terrible and if we score 10 we are going to win.
I don't think that will be the case, but would be happy if it was

Would love to be.
Their O can't keep up in a track meet, but it will tough against that D to score a lot.
I won't underestimate Drake and McD, gameplan this week needs to be on point.

More than a quarter of those yards were on the last 2 garbage time drives.
I listed there first 7 drives. 2 were good. That’s not good. If you want to consider getting to midfield and punting moving the ball well, we have a different opinion of what that means.

Their offense is bad. I don’t see anyone who said we only need to score 10 points. Can you show me those posts?

It’s the divisional round of the playoffs. Were you expecting the Jets?
All teams are good at this point. We gained to draw one with a weak offense.

I'm not going to find it, but read this thread, there are a couple comments about Houston scoring less than 10.
Their O was literally middle of the pack, passing O was better than their run O.
They have struggled to run it this year, but ran it well yesterday. But they didn't have 2 garbage time drives. Their 2nd last drive on O was early in the 4th in a 1 point game where they drove the ball 45 yards and kicked a FG to go up 4. That's not garbage time.

They had scored 7 points all day and ahead 7-6 they had to settle for a 51 yard FG. Thats your argument that the moved at will?

Difference:
Gonzo has 6 days to recover.
Collins has 5 days to recover.

And I heard Bedard on with Felger and Mazz today (I was out walking and desperate) say that this is a Collins’ 2nd concussion since October and he was out the next game with that one, so it wasn’t minor.

Given that, the one day less difference between the two teams’ previous games and the evident differences in how they exited their game, I’d say we’re more likely to see Gonzo than Collins Sunday afternoon.

Was that today or when he was returning from the Hammy? I'd look but I don't have SnapFace....thanks

EDIT: upon further review: I was thinking of this from an earlier game this season" just landed, hit my head. Gotta be careful with that,” Gonzalez said. “But I’m good. ... I would have come back in, but the offense did what they needed to do and I didn’t have to come back on the field.”...so we good

I never said they scored well, I said they moved the ball well because they did.
Your argument was they gained 1/4 of their yards in their last 2 garbage time drives, and they didn't have 2 garbage time drives. They didn't even have one garbage time drive.
Their last O drive which you are saying was "garbage time" started with them up 11 and 9:29 left to play.
That's plenty of time left in a 2 score game, but you say Pittsburgh gave up.
Pitt was most certainly trying to stop Houston on their last 2 O drives and they couldn't.
Houston didn't have any garbage time yards.

It was posted on FB just over an hour ago, I assumed it was from today since it references playing against the Texans.
