BB has built a garbage roster. End of story. Slow Dline that can't cover, absolute garbage WRs, not that it matters as the Oline sucks ass. Brady has carried this team kicking and screaming the last few years. It's a miracle he's managed to win 2 recent superbowls with these rosters. Just garbage.

Last year's roster was fine. Flawed in the front 7 and the secondary fell apart at the end but easily a top 5-7 roster in the NFL

This year, they're maybe middle of the pack (mostly due to Brady and Gronk being GOAT). Some guys have declined and way too many good players left without good replacements

The Pats have always had a roster reliant upon complementary play. When you take a few pieces out (or one of your key cogs, Hightower, deteriorates rapidly), everything falls apart

They'd be best served to try the young guys on D and hope for some development. The trash they're playing at DT, J.McCourty, Van Noy, Clayborn...those guys aren't going to get better and they're clearly not good enough to be key pieces.

2 score game and they just gave up. I know it was pretty much impossible but damn...morale is clearly at an all time high. Not.

Third game of the year. Huge risk for injury going all out with a minute or so to go with almost no chance of winning. Live to play another day.

I admit this is all a knee jerk reaction, but here is what I see after the first 3 games of the season.

•Our DL is absolute ****. I understand you want big boys to stop the run, but when those big boys are as soft as a roll of Charmin 2 ply, you’ve got a big problem. Shelton & Brown put together can’t even make up half of the player that Wilfork was. I hate to admit, because I really love his lunch pail attitude and his personal story, but Guy needs to be a limited rotational player. Wise Jr. has made a pretty solid leap in yr. 2 and continues to play hard regardless of the situation. Davis has a lot of work to do, and Claybourn seems to always be a step too late in everything he does.

•Van Noy looks slow, and High looks like he’s mailed it in and is just out there collecting a paycheck. His effort has been an absolute shocker for me this season. Bentley. Wow, it looks like we got a steal. Sometimes he looks like a rookie, but he sure as hell never looks out of place. Roberts is what he is. I don’t dislike him, but I don’t love him either. Good back-up, rotational type player. If HT keeps playing the way he’s playing, throw one of the back ups in there and maybe get more of an effort.

•Gilmore is Gilmore. I’d love to see how good he would really be if he had a good DL. Rowe is stiffer in the hips than my Wife’s 94 yr old Grandfather. He’s a matchup guy, nothing more. JJ looks really solid. Glad we have him back, and really wish we had him in last years Super Bowl. Harmon looks slow, Chung looks slow. DMac is solid. JMac, I really don’t know.

•Brady looks bad. Not bad like a lot of qb’s in the league, but definitely Brady bad. A lot of throws off his back foot when it isn’t needed. Sailing balls on guys. Making bad reads. Sure some of the blame falls on the receivers and lack of overall talent on the Offense, but he looks rusty for his standards.

•The receivers. Yuck. Edelman and hopefully a well adjusted, quick learning Gordon are going to be desperately needed.

•OL is okay. Nothing special at all. Especially in the run game. Serviceable I guess.

•Boy the health of the backs has been an absolute train wreck. Better hope Michel can stay healthy, because if something happens to him, this ****ty passing game will be on full display.

•The play calling and personnel moves cannot be defended. From top to bottom these players have come out unprepared mentally, and emotionally. We are making **** players and **** teams look like absolute all-stars.


Someone or everyone is to blame.

Miami looks legit offensively and our front 7 is trash.

Going to need an A+ effort to win.

I do feel optimistic about Wise and getting Flowers and Chung back but we have to have the worst DTs and LBs in the league.

Hightower may be done. Move KVN to MLB and put anyone else in there with some athleticism. I would make some kind of trade now.

And on top of that are safeties are sucking ass, so from the DTs to the safeties we have nothing.

There is so much broken right now I don’t even know where to start from.

I expected the pats to kick azz tonight after getting their azz'z kicked last week, thats the way the pats USE to roll especially against a bad team. Something is definetely wrong, we maybe witnesing the begining of the end of the dynasty, ive Never posted anything like this before.

Bring in Dez. I was against Dez previously but the receivers are completely unable to get open. Rework the offense to accommodate Gordon and Dez. It literally can't be worse.

Stop trying to make Sony happen. Sony's going to happen, he's a talented player. They're forcing the ball to him. It's gotta stop.

As for the defense, something's gotta give. The defensive line is putrid, getting moved off the ball left and right and failing to get any sort of pressure. The secondary is better than it looks, at least?

The only positives I can see are Bentley, who looks like he has the physical and mental talent to play the game, and Gilmore, who's the best player on the defense by a long shot.

**** it though, I hold out hope. Next Sunday is basically a must-win though. Drop that one to the Dolphins and they're probably playing for the wild card if they're lucky.

Don't think Dez would come at this point.
I want to cut Hogan and Dorsett is a 5th receiver at best.
I feel like Brady didn't look Interested at all.

I hope we’re not overselling Edelman’s return. He hasn’t played a real game since SB51. Almost 18 months ago. I think what he provides is exactly what the NE O is missing, but as I noted in the GDT what he provided for ‘13-‘17 was kind of a combo deal with Danny. This team might be 2-1 or 3-0 with DA in the fold, and that could be the difference between a home playoff game or not. I hope Jules is JULES, but I think that’s a lot to ask off the bat. He’s joining a very different - and a lot more desperate - team than he left.

It wouldn’t. In fact should have happened a month ago.

But some folks on here would rather not “deal with Dez” and lose games with the pile of dog crap we have on offense.

We already have Gordon. Adding Dez doesn’t do squat but improve the talent.

Brutal in every phase.

Unlike other years i have a hard time seeing the defense turn it around. Hightower looks done, shelton and Clayborn have shown nothing, cb looks weak beynd gilmore/jones dmac and chung havent looked good. I think the offense can turn it around to make us reasonable but it wont be good enough to cover for this defense.

It doesn’t look good, next week is a must win, first regular season must win weve had in years.
