Post Game Thread- Pats at Lions

Tom Brady may have sent a message to his coaches following the New England Patriots’ 26-10 loss to the Detroit Lions. He needs James White like Blue Oyster Cult and Christopher Walken need cowbell.

“He’s got to be involved,” Brady said of White after the game on Sunday night. “The guys who can make plays, those are the ones who should be involved. James is certainly one of them.

Tom Brady says he wants more James White, so does he want less Sony Michel?

This Brady guy gets it.

Dolphins are good. I predict they'll stomp the pats(ies) next week. Deservedly so. You can't improve until you admit there's a problem.

Does Brady retire after this year? Without question. Does gronk? Likely.
We all knew this day would come and here it is.

Happy you got that out of your system?

Sucks right now but you gotta imagine the offense will improve once JE is back and Gordon gets more comfortable with the offense.

Defense is a different story, I don’t know how you slow and mediocre talent.

The offense HAS to be much better for this team to have any real success. And right now that starts with Josh McDaniels calling better games. Two duds in a row. Forcing it with Michel is not working for us. James White is our second best offensive target, we must utilize him MORE.

Not only do we need Josh Gordon on the field, we need him to become a big part of this offense. It's frightening to rely on a wildcard like that but it's reaching that juncture.

Remember when people thought it was NBD letting Amendola walk and trading Cooks in the same offseason? It was predictable and anyone paying attention knew that after Edelman our receiving group was extremely unreliable.

I hate to talk like this after Week 3 but this defense looks sunk. Really really bad. Worse yet they run around like chickens with their heads cut off for 8 minute chunks before handing the ball back to Brady.

Laugh now, smart guy! 28-10 next week, my prediction. Our boys on the losing end once again. They stink to high heaven.

I know what you're thinking "bad enough that it were so without you wishing it so." Wishing has nothing to do with it.

No issues using Sony, but they definitely underused white tonight. Did not get that at all.

It’s like they’re forcing Sony to blossom to some savvy Vet by forcing it to him. Use him sparringly, let him grow and use what works: James white. They’re forcing Michel into the game plan.

It's painfully obvious that White is our most reliable offensive target other than Gronk...by a lot.

The obvious solution here is to just identify as 3-0 team

If body parts and chromosomes don’t determine a gender, then who’s to say your wins and losses determine your record

On our way to 16-0 boys

Gotta have someone to catch the ball

Yeah it’s like going in to take a test, and when you read it over and realize you know everything. Only problem is, they told you they'd have a pen for you to use and then say deal with it when they give you a pen with no ink.

So even if you know the answers, if you don’t have the tools it doesn’t matter.

Haven’t seen a two game stretch like this in a long time. Tells you how fortunate we are as fans to see our team lose back to back games for the first time since 2015. Spoiled rotten?

Don’t have to be a rocket scientist to realize this team doesn’t look very good. Made a team last weekend look like world champs just to watch them fall down to earth against the Titans. Play a team this week who’s running game was a disaster for years and they steamroll the Pats on National TV.

Whats consistent with the defense in both losses? These LBs are about as slow as they can possibly get and the open field tackling is possibly the worst we’ve seen since before 2001. The scheme? Don’t know what I’m watching, have safeties trying to cover wr’s 5 to 10 yards in. What happened to cbs like Arrington contesting in the slot? Besides Gilmore there isn’t a player in the secondary that can shadow a wr without being 2 or 3 steps behind half the time.

It’s early and the Pats were missing players, but man, they look bad. Yes, it’s early, and yes we’ve scene this before. But wow, the horrible tackling, especially in space, being man handled in the trenches on both sides of the line.

This isn’t a knee jerk reaction, they got work to do, the offense will get better with the return of Edelman and hopefully Gordon. Defense has got to get better or it’s curtains.

1-2 at the bottom of the division, things have got to get better quick, the odds start stacking to the point where no team has ever won the superbowl starting 1-3 or 1-4.

Pats started 1-3 in 2001 and won the Super Bowl.

But that team also had a new (eventual GOAT) QB and a good defense.

Just a note, neither good nor bad:

Steelers: 0-1-1
Jags: 2-1
Titans: 2-1
Chiefs: 3-0
Chargers: 1-2

Eagles: 2-1
Packers: 1-1-1
Vikings: 1-1-1
Saints: 2-1
Panthers: 2-1
Falcons: 1-2
Rams: 3-0

It's not as if the Patriots are the only heralded team that's struggling out of the gate.

well sounds like we played as bad as we could’ve done.. how bad were we?!
