we desperately need to hit big in next years draft

Nope. I quoted ross post saying i disagree with his presumption that some of us cant over react without it being our sole reason for ****ing existence.

I wont apologize to him and I assume he wasnt offended because frankly, it's not a God damn big deal.

This is just another example of what I mean by reading is fundamental.

In post #421, @luuked asked you specifically what @Ross12 said that was "flame stoking".
Post Game Thread- Dolphins beat the Pats

Your response is post #447 you quoted @luuked and also @UptownPatsFan . You said NOTHING about @Ross12 in that post despite it being a clear response to @luuked's questioning you about @Ross12.

Post Game Thread- Dolphins beat the Pats

Now, you did make a 2nd post at #467, but even that one was you talking out your rear end because one is not the equivalent of the other. No where did @Ross12 say anything or imply anything about anyone's mental state. No where in his post is he encouraging flaming.

If you took it as that, then you are the issue. And yes, you should apologize to @Ross12 because you questioned his integrity as a mod when clearly you are the issue.

I’m saying it happens. You expect them to drop 27 points every half and be flawless?? The offense made mistakes today, but still put up 33 points. That SHOULD be enough to win a football game.

How could you not place the blame on the defense for allowing a play that has not happened in NFL history?

Because the offense' incompetence throughout the second half put them into a position where this play had meaning.

Attended two Christmas parties yesterday evening and had entirely too much to drink. Slept through this game and the first thing to come across my Facebook news feed was the final play as time expired. About the only good thing that came from this hangover was missing that game. What a heartbreaker. This team clearly has some serious issues when playing on the road. Reminds me of the year BB participated in the football life documentary. 09’ I think? In my opinion we’d need the 1 seed to make it to the big dance. If we even get the 2 seed and that’s a big if with PIT coming up I just can’t see them going to KC and winning and I don’t see KC losing at home and being eliminated. Strange year.

And the defense only allowed one touchdown in the second half until the very last play of the game. If they do such a good job for 29:53 minutes you'd expect your offense to play it home.
So except for the majority of the game where they were trash against the league's 29th ranked offense, the defense was good. That's some real insight.

It's weird how you can spend a series of posts trashing on the offense for not scoring enough in the second half, then immediately pivot to forgiving the defense because they played semi-competent football against one of the worst offenses in the league for less than half of the game.

It’s not going to happen, but the Raiders beating the Steelers today would make this loss sting much less.

Again SIX POINTS in 30 MINUTES. You can keep adding up and make it sound like the offense played well but in reality they only did that for one half.

Offense didnt play well. They were God awful on execution and the playcalling is a whole other story.

Defense played like **** too.

They deserved that loss.

Best FG kicker over the last 10 years. Sucks ass. Yep.
I don't mean this as a argument, although it probably will be taken that way, but he hasn't been great this season.

Why is it so bad for posters to point that out?
There are mistakes being made. Why does everyone that points negatives, have to be labeled as whiners.

This place is turning into a PC cesspool.

Socialist forum.

This place has been so much fun, but when things get ugly with the team everyone gets pissy and insists that their opinion is the right one.

What happened to open opinions?

Word it how you want to but they gave up 13 points in half 2 . Thats an average half at best. First half was poor. No short fields all game. They were bad today. The offense played good enough to make 37 points, well above average output.

Are you ready to move on? I am. Lets do it together!

The defense was as dominant in the second half as our offense was in the first half. I don't get how you can sit there and blame one unit for ****ting the bed when the other did the very same thing in spite of having considerably more talent.

I think we’re not far from being a one and done in the playoffs.

that is not really relevant. Pats need to win out regardless to get a bye.

You are the one who tries to somehow contort reality. The offense did not play good enough to score 37 points otherwise we would have won the game.

They had several shortfields thanks to 3 and outs by the defense and punt blocks by ST.

Scoring 6 points in a half on the road against a solid defense in a division have isnt good, but it's far from incompetent. Especially when you scored enough points in the first half to win.

Getting 34 points dropped on you by one of the worst offenses in the league and a one-legged quarterback, that is incompetence

I just saw the last play again...I wonder what Gilmore and Harmon were doing on that play...looks like they were guarding the other side of the field instead of going to the ball to tackle the receiver...I noticed that we looked really slow on defense as well. Jones also started with a terrible defensive play.

I think we’re not far from being a one and done in the playoffs.

If they get in as the 3, they would be at home to Indy, Baltimore or Miami. They could win against all those teams, albeit I wouldn’t have them as strong favorites against anyone

The Patriots today did what bad teams do - they failed to execute in several high-leverage situations. Not getting points before half was idiotic. Wasted a TO before the last play - then did not have one when they needed. Thinking a Hail Mary was more likely than a lateral play was a total face palm. And really good teams get into the end zone at the end and don’t settle for a FG in that situation. Teams fear Brady and what he can do, but the fear of the Pats and their execution, smarts and mental toughness is rapidly disappearing.

Again SIX POINTS in 30 MINUTES. You can keep adding up and make it sound like the offense played well but in reality they only did that for one half.
Happens to every team in the league.

Quit acting like a spoiled baby about it. Patriots offense isn’t going to be perfect every half of football.
