Post Game Thread- Dolphins beat the Pats

Can someone explain why the Patriots kicked off from their own 30? Or did I see it wrong?

I still can’t believe they choked that game away.

Why tough? You never any ever under any circumstance want the pats D on the field if you need them to stop a game winning drive. They are completely and utterly unreliable and that much should have been clear since September of last year.

The weirdest thing to me is that of the four losses none were to teams that are actually good. Suggests to me that this is not a mentally tough team.
Discipline and desire were absent for much of the game. Guys were sleepwalking through that last play. Cannot understand that.

Sure, but with the 2nd seed that year, and getting the bye is enormous, especially when every loss you’ve had has come on the road, with another possible situation next week at PIT.
They've done it before.

We play a cup cake schedule. To have 4 losses...all to non playoff teams is pretty disappointing.
KC beat a tough, crafty Baltimore team today. We don’t have that on our schedule. The only really good defense we will see all year is Pittsburgh. Titans D is overrated.

This team got smoked 3 times on the road and lost a nearly must win game today. How can you expect them to win 2 more on the road this year?

So Ghost didn't miss a FG. Brady didn't have a brain fart at the end of the first half? The dolphins shouldn't have even had an opportunity to win at the end. Game is 60 minutes. You want to focus on the last 16 seconds is up to you.
Technically, @slash83 is correct.

However, you are correct as well as what lead up to that last play.

People will focus on the last play, which of course was a complete cluster f**k, but what the hell has happened to our run D? Titans, Vikings, and now the Phins have gashed us rushing in the last month. We made old man Gore look like he was 25 again. If we can’t correct the run D this team is going no where.

Ohhhhh something tells me that’s the last time we will be seeing an offensive skill position guy in that role in that situation.

There should have never been one on the field given where the ball was in the first place. I mean it is just one of the puzzle pieces of what went wrong on that play. Now if the ball was at the 50 it is a different story.

Ohhhhh okay the Pats (plural, not possessive, I take it,) are "good for" 11 wins. That just happens, because New England.

The other guys get paid too, champ. It's not amazing to win 10 games 16 years in a row if you get spotted 11 wins a season. And we don't.

Miami's always tough, and any given Sunday even applies. I learned that lesson in the most vivid way when a 9-7 Gintz team won all its road games to beat the 18-0 Pats.

I get the impression that you weren't here for the lean years, and you think these are them.

Guess what? If a 9-7 Gintz team can beat an 18-0 Patriots team, an 11-5 Patriots team can beat the odds too. You're just not used to the concept of "Patriots" and "Beat the odds" in the same sentence.

Sooooo sick and tired of the doofus theory that you must have HFA throughout to make a SB run. I don't remember that happening for us in 2001-2002 and I don't remember 18-0 protecting us in 2007-2008.

So please, please go away, lest the Pats go on a run with you recently re-united with the bandwagon. Please burn all your gear, NOW. It's what you deserve.

I get the impression that because you watched a ton of terrible football you think you're God and the man and that us patriot fans post 94 aren't real fans.

I'm so sorry to have offended your senses on who or what is a "real" Pat's fan.

It's really something to marvel at that the pats can lose a game the way they just did and are imuned to criticism. All because one time they only won 1 game.

Christ.

The 2013 loss to Miami was more or less a copy of this game. With Amendola crapping the bed on a game winning drop in the endzone and then the defense letting the Miami TE run through them on fourth down.

But I guess nostalgia colors everything.
Sorry, but it takes quite some glasses to equate a 4th and 5 conversion being up 3 points with 2:41 left to the breakdown of epic proportions that we've seen today.

I wish I could just fast forward and see how this season ends. The journey isn't fun this year.

This team got smoked 3 times on the road and lost a nearly must win game today. How can you expect them to win 2 more on the road this year?
Their last away game is against the Steelers.

Can't set the edge. Two whiffs by Roberts and one by Humber led to the three big runs.

That's a flawed bunch with zero playoff success in the last 10 years
Sure, everyone is flawed, but they're a lot less flawed than the rest of the league. What does a decade ago have to do with the 2018 season? Every team in the league has turned over at least 90% of its roster since then
