It’s a crappy feeling to lose this way but I think people are overreacting. Handle Pittsburgh next week as they usually do, take care of business at home against the Bills and the Jets the next two weeks and you’ve got the 2 seed locked up, so you still get a bye for sure. KC could still drop but not likely. However, they’re showing they’re not invincible, so no guarantees NE ends up having to go to KC. And even if they do, they’ve beaten KC once before. It’s not like the season is over. Far from it.

This has and had the ‘09 feeling to it. Not much of a chance to beat KC or anyone on the road.

I fully supported the run-run-run FG at the end because surely our defense couldn't commit the most monumental choke job imaginable in 15 seconds. But they did.

It was a terrible decision to put Gronk back there instead of Josh Gordon. It wasn't going to be a jump ball.

Ummm our defense SUCKED *** almost the entire game and in every game this season....you really want to rely on them for anything.....BB and coaches made some of the worst calls and adjustments in the BB era....just moronic

Well, it is what it is here in December. We could easily lose the next game too. Bottom line, this defense and specials teams just isn’t good this year. Every game has been a struggle and little cohesion.

Why not put Gordon back instead of Gronk.

Why not put a player whose job is to defend passes and make tackles back there instead of an offensive player? That's just an arrogant gimmick (Randy Moss got a pick that one time!) on an otherwise low percentage play that nearly got them earlier this season and bit them today.

That last play had nothing to do with talent.

It absolutely did. Bad coaching and bad talent.

They count the same but the game plays out totally differently if those points are scored. Butterfly effect. You can’t assume they’re ahead with 7 seconds to go if they get more points early

Had Brady just thrown the ball away. Had the offense done anything in the second half. Had the defense actually been able to set the edge in the first half against the run. Had the coaches not put Gronk at the very back on the final play.

You see where I am going with this ? There is enough blame to go around to almost every unit.

The only unit that shouldn't have any blame is the Punt Coverage Unit. They were STELLAR..
