Who will be or who do you want to be the next GM?

My hoped-for scenario would be that they hire Vrabel (or a strong, experience, qualified alternative) as HC , then give that person a strong say in who serves as GM. The Krafts obviously have zero competence to play a role in the GM hire. nor in much of anything else. I want a strong GM and HC who can work together to rebuild this goddam mess. The Mayo/Wolf thing is an obvious disaster.

You don't need to be sorry, you did nothing wrong. No reason to apologize. You did well, and can update the poll. No big deal. Tunes is a bit grumpy - ignore him.
Lol. Boys, boys, boys. The testosterone is a little thick in the air today, I take it. I have a couple of male dogs who get testy with one another from time to time. Maybe you all need to spend a little time in your crates, chewing on an old shoe or something, or the wife can take you for a nice ride and let you stick your heads out the window and bark at pedestrians.

That time of the month.

Steve Palazollo from PFF. ‍He'd be better than Wolf or BB.

Dimitroff might trade the entire draft for a WR.

Wolfe is not going anywhere.

Why? Because he is controlled by the Krafts. Just like Mayo. When ownership gets too involved in matters of football this is what you get. Dan Synder oversaw a trainwreck in DC and now the new ownership is allowing football people run the team. Washington is winning and on the rise.

If Kraft fires Wolfe and brings in somebody qualified and Mayo still loses. Then what? You have to fire Mayo and then the whole game of musical chairs begins. Either the HC gets fired or the GM gets fired every few years. See the Jets and Browns.

Wolf isn’t GM though. He has a Personnel title. So a GM would be hired and Wolf would keep his title and report to the GM. Wolf wouldn’t be picking the groceries.

Is this supposed to be a prediction or a desire poll? Because I don't think we're going to see a change in GM come Monday.

Bit surprised no votes for Pioli. It seemed like he was a popular choice here.
Hold my beer we're desperate.

Wolf is listed as the "De Factor GM" the same as BB. Eliot Wolf Football Executive Record | Pro-Football-Reference.com

Wolf was brought on to improve the Pats drafts after Kraft was publicly critical of Belichicks drafts post Brady. Something that we did not see before, but Kraft was livid that Brady won another Lombardi after BB told Kraft that Brady was declining. Now that BB is gone, I dont see who else would be working FAs and draft picks, but Wolf. Of course under the watchful eye of Bob Kraft now that he is the one calling the shots.

The whole thing is a 5hitshow. Every GM is forced to work with Mayo as he learns to be a coach.

I would love Dimitroff here.

I think the next GM isn't on your list, Alonzo Highsmith.

He’s in the building and I’m sorry the building needs cleared out.
Agreed, although Highsmith was brought on just this offseason. He's not one of the nepo kids in that front office.

In fact, I suspect that it was Jonathan who got him here, in case he needed a hatchet man this offseason, if everything fell apart, like it did.

Dimitroff used to be part of the Patriots front office from 2002-2008..
He knows the landscape..

Eliot Wolf has a new job title.

The Patriots made it official Saturday, elevating Wolf and giving him the title of executive vice president of player personnel.

Well, that's depressing as ****.
So much for blowing it up. I wonder how many more 2024 offseasons we're going to get until he gets fired?

Did you see the date? That's from May. My point is he does not have the GM title. It's executive vice president of player personnel which was given in May.
