I voted yes because it deserves retirement as much as any player's number could. However, if Brady was okay with it staying in circulation, I'd like that even more.

It seems I'm in the minority, but I love seeing players rep numbers that a previous Patriots legend wore. Plenty of numbers have a rich tradition. I'd love to see a future #12 out there, but I understand why people think it's too special to reissue.

This could be the replacement for the Wonderlic for the Pats when interviewing prospects: "If you make the team and are offered Tom Brady's number 12, would you accept?"

I’d say ‘yes’ but really, are the Patriots or are any future Patriots going to WANT #12 ? It’s a curse. Don’t get bogged down by trying to wear #12 in NE. Get another number.
