I don't think the Pats HoF is significant enough to properly acknowledge Tom's accomplishments here.

#12 deserves a special exemption and his number should be retired.

Is this debatable?

Put him in the Pats hall, retire his number, build a statue to him twice as big as Payton's or Ray's, rename Gillette after him. I'd say rename Route 1 after him, but I'd save that for Belichick.

Tom's forehead would still be smaller than Payton's

Yes. Not just a Patriots great but a once-in-a-generation type player whose accomplishment will almost certainly never be approached let alone equaled. End of story.

I think even the Bucs may retire his # too.

His # will be retired obviously.

Jersey retirement on SNF next year. Against...Bills maybe?

They should rename Gillette Stadium to TB12 Stadium ;)

I voted yes because it deserves retirement as much as any player's number could. However, if Brady was okay with it staying in circulation, I'd like that even more.

Hell no its not debatable.
Brady's jersey and Belichick's original gray hoodie with the cutoff sleeves are the ONLY things that should ever be retired.
They ARE the Patriots.

Which player would even dare ask wear #12 as a Patriot?

Would be like someone wearing #4 on the Bruins
