I still can’t believe Belichick thought it was a good idea to bring in Patricia and Judge to run the offense. It drove me crazy when it was announced and still annoys me. This has been a clinic on how to ruin your franchise QB and set the team back.

I think the bigger concern is it seems like he can't admit he was wrong.

I also have to wonder if Bill's plan was to sign Jimmy G if he traded Mac, but obviously Jimmy is a Raider so that's off the table. Maybe you can trade him to somewhere like Tampa for a 2nd where he'd compete with Baker Mayfield. But then what? You're left with Bailey Zappe and that's it. Do they draft Hooker? If you could sell Houston on Mac, Houston could trade back with another team for a draft haul and then send NE maybe #12 this year for Mac + NE's 2024 1st. Houston has #2 and #12 so they could afford to lose #12, trade back from #2 to end up around the middle of the 1st again anyway, and pick up multiple 1sts in the coming years from NE and whoever trades up to #2.

So this all depends on (a) Florio's overall credibility (b) what that source (agent) who makes money when players are traded feels represents Mac being "shopped" and (c) what Florio who makes money by generating clicks feels he can say represents Mac being "shopped" based on what the source (agent) told him.

There could be embers of truth somewhere, but it's surrounded by piles of horseshit. All it takes is one agent willing to exaggerate if not lie, and we have a major **** storm.

Would Richardson be available to them? If Mac is traded your right zappe is the starter unless you then traded for Jimmy g.. what a wild off season this has been..

I hope you are right. Not because I am a huge fan of Mac, because I think this will not play well in the locker room. If Mac is being shopped, that means that BOB does not think he is the guy. Either way, starting over with a new QB is not a way to be a playoff team next year.
