Sad thing is the roster was good enough to win 6 or 7 games without Manning in 2011. They just chose to tank like the gutless dolts they are.

Pretty much, yeah. [FWIW, they had Kerry Collins, Curtis Painter, and Dan Orlovsky as QBs.]

Unless this was about giving a QB prospect a ride somewhere, you should fix the title.
I bet your junior lawyers love your attention to detail, lol.

Do we really know what we have in Danny Ettling?? He was on the "shadow roster" last year, and this years TC will be telling..

Ettling has only played in 3 preseason games, starting one. Is he another Ryan Mallett or is he___________, stay tuned.

I voted 2nd round. Maybe Ryan Finley. He's solid though unspectacular. He didn't play well vs. top D Clemson or in the bowl game. He did have some good receivers and a decent o-line so no excuses but Clemson D was pretty effin good. Not sure what happened in the Texas A&M game. He looked crappy and just fell apart in the second half, which was ok with me. I had A&M for a good amount.

I like Thorson he had no stars on his team and still made plays.
I want the QB who made his guys better.
Not so much the QB with a good to great supporting cast who couldnt get it done in top competition.
What do people think of Drew Lock?

Maybe they’ll sign whoever is the best QB in the AAFL.

Thorson didn't get it done vs. top competition either. Blame the cast if you want, he still didn't get it done and didn't make anyone better in several of those games.

1983 Houston Gamblers QB Jim Kelly, all day long baby.

Wait, what? Peter King “thinks?” I thought he ruminates while dispensing his coffee runs which turn into his columns. My mistake.

My head would explode if we got one of these guys, particularly a Finley, Stidham, Thorson before the 4th. I don't get the Thorson love & Finley had a loaded OL & vn skill weapons. Can't remember how many times Finleys guys were waiting on him for reads, passes etc. Andrews played vg this year but if we're looking there, Bradbury is a perfect fit here. Tough, athletic, very smart/aware, great in space. Def PTP.

Also forget about King & just look at the obvious.

Its a decent-bad class. Been doing this a while & theres no other way to say it. You'll most likely have to spend a top 50-100 on guys mentioned above that will have 3rd - 4th rd grades.
As we speak we have 3 QB's, are we really going to bring in a guy that needs a lot of work & isn't that much of an upgrade from the current group?
Also, age matters. We're not drafting a 23-24 yo prospect to sit for 3-4 years & be Bradys successor near 30. Not someone that will have almost 0 live NFL action.

I've been driving the bus about getting future picks w our 1st. At 32 we're likely to only have 5-6 prospects graded so highly we have to take them there but I have a feeling this is a classic Pats draft where we do lots of work in rounds 2-4.

The next 2 QB classes look much better. Build the team & pick Bradys successor from a much more talented pool.

Sometimes thats who I think of. A more athletic Bledsoe.

i will say it...depending on the cost, i think Nick Foles would be a great fit in NE

It’s incredible how they drafted Brady’s successor in 2014 and since then Brady has been to 4 Super Bowls, won 3, the successor was traded away a year and a half ago, and the option with the most votes is “the Patriots won’t draft a QB this year”.

Well, if that was the result, let's do it again! Draft the best QB we can this year and hope he never sees the field except to congratulate Brady when the confetti falls.

Yikes, I don’t love the idea of going 9-7 with Brian Hoyer
Neither do I, but I will remember that the times BB had to win without Brady, he found a way to go 11-5 with Cassel, 2-0 with Jimmy G and 1-1 with Jacoby Brissett

No one is on the Trevor Lawrence 2021 bandwagon huh?

Those QB’s are all better than Hoyer is now. Remember that

Yeah, we know what we have in him. Not much.
