Well, yeah, but the fear is multi-week, or season ending injuries. After all the shltty comments from various corners so far this year, I can guarantee that if there is any chance of obtaining a record or going undefeated, BB will go for it.
There isn't a big deal at all about playing the starters the entire Giant game either since there is a bye week after it if the W-L record holds up.
He wouldn't predict which remaining team would beat them, but the first one he mentioned was Baltimore at Batimore on Monday night. Said it's crazy loud in there and you don't know what could happen. Next was Pittsburgh the following week (short week) at home, and then the Giants game also at home in the final regular season game. Don't know how long Belichick would play the veterans in that one is the reason for that potential upset. I think he got ahold of some bad oysters or mushrooms or something and has lost his mind. Baltimore?
Remember in 2004 when the 2-11 Dolphins beat the 12-1 Patriots?... it could happen, and I think he picks them because he feels they have a D that might slow them down, and then if Brady has a bad game... it could be a trap game. Yes, it's unlikely in-and-of-itself, but King is saying sooner or later the Pats might trip.He wouldn't predict which remaining team would beat them, but the first one he mentioned was Baltimore at Batimore on Monday night. If they have a 90% chance of winning each game, the odds of winning 7 straight would be less than 50% (slightly).
In the playoffs, I'd give them less than 90% for each game. If 70%, the odds of running ther table goes down to 16%.
That's what my head says, but I'd still put it at 50-50.
As nice as wining 7 more regular season games woudl be - I would trade any one or even all of them if I could be assured of going undefeated in Jan and Feb!!
Nothing could be worse that running the table only to fall short in the Playoffs.
Fortunately, we have some really smart leaders on this team - coaches & players alike and they will have this team totally prepared to meet and beat all comers in this playoff run.
What a great time to be a Pats fan....
I agree the Pats will light the Giants up in week 16.It will not be the Giants. Think about it, we are undefeated heading into the last game of the season. A Big Time media circus will be surrounding the staduim and all the experts will be offering their input all week long. Heck, it will be a mini-Superbowl. What team thrives on being the focus and has been there countless times. Do you think after going through the whole season undefeated, they are going to let one team at the end beat them? As for the talent level of the Giants, who cares. They are not an elite team. Experts: they will pressure Brady. My hope is the experts express themselves very clearly leading up to that game.
Sure. The reason I found his proclamation, most of which come from an attempt to build his guru stature, which is mostly in his own mind, was because he mentioned Baltimore as a real threat. I don't think so after the way Pittsburgh dismantled them.Is it really that big of a deal that King doesn't think the Pats will go 19-0? That's one of the least negative and most well-founded "criticisms" he's had of them this year. At least this assertion makes sense, even if he's too dumb to explain it.
Seriously though, Baltimore? I'm more worried about Buffalo than Baltimore.
