Did the Bills and Pats set the record for most penalties in a game? I'm pretty sure the previous record was 22 and there were 25 flags thrown. I'm surprised no one mentioned it.

I know the Bills were crazy chippy but do you think all the flags were because of the first-year ref calling every single thing he saw (or thought he saw)?

I think the ref saw the direction things were potentially going and decided to call it tight lest things get out of hand.

Besides, out of all those penalties, I can't say I saw terribly many that I disagree with. To me the worst call of the day was a flag *not* thrown on a play where Gronk was interfered with.

I think Joker called it based on the Refs (known for being liberal with flags). I think there's some truth to them throwing more to keep the game under control, but they are who they are. On the plus side, the game lasted 45-50 minutes longer :) (clock time).

It was the most penalties accepted in a Bills-Patriots game

No, it wasn't really close to a record.

I thought the refs were fair. Both teams were amped up especially the Bills.
