PatsFans.com - The Hub For New England Patriots Fans

PatsFans has never been more divided. It’s time to heal!

@Cam2HarryGOAT get ready to have your rectum dug out by our Goon Squad followed by a slow, painful demise.

You broke your first rule in your first post after making all of your rules. You should be sent down to the basement with captain stone, to join NG pats fans and the rest of the sodomites. Great avatar, though! (rule #1)

The healing will only begin when all posters here finally let go of Brady (the stages of grief are not supposed to last this long) and stop living in the past and the board finally gets back to focusing solely on the issues involving the current Pats team. Are the mods here going to allow Tampa-centric thread and discussions to remain in the Patriots section for a second season?

a once-in-a-generation power struggle between Team Bill and Team Tom
"Tom's gone. So is Gronk. So is Lawyer. So is Wes. It is what it is. We're on to the draft." -BB

1613086807110.png"The fact is the Boston Patriots or the New England Patriots or whatever they call themselves is an illegitimate, second-class unworthy franchise. All the Krafts, Belichicks, Edelmans and Slaters in the world can't change that."

Well, it'll be a team effort.

Pedro is great - but best ever in the game? No.
If you look at all the stats for baseball pitchers, he's at or near the top in more categories than any other pitchers all time. Who do you like more?

Just off the top of my head, I'm thinking of Young, Paige, Gibson, Grove, Johnson(Walter).

When I have the time and inclination I'll show you where you're wrong. Right now I'm trying to enjoy the afterglow of the best non-Pats SB win ever.

Btw, I've played golf many times with a man named Walter Johnson who claims to be a descendant of the pitcher. He looks like he could be too.

Executive order # 12: Patsgofor4 minds his own business.

Johnny Bucyk (21 seasons). Hail to the Chief!

Dwight Evans (19 seasons). Dewey should be in Cooperstown.

Julius Adams (16 seasons). The Jewel belongs in the Pats' HOF.

Johnny Bucyk! Good catch.

And my favorite thing about this thread was finding out that we had a Brady forum! When did that happen? Was it why the "Tompa Bay Gronkaneers" thread disappeared?

The TBG thread is alive and well. Pop in and express your man love with the rest of the jock sniffers

We are at a precarious point in PatsFans.com/new-england-patriots/messageboard history. Our supreme ruler, Ian, logs in every single day to a board that has never in its history been more divided. PatsFans is confronting a once-in-a-generation power struggle between Team Bill and Team Tom. Deep discontent over Bill Belichick letting Tom Brady test free agency and, eventually, leave for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers has reached a fevered pitch with 30% of respondents polled saying that it was Brady’s time to go. Another 20% state that Brady chose to leave. On the other hand, 50% of respondents say that Bill could have done more earlier to keep the greatest quarterback of all time here and happy. These are, indeed, dark days. Sorrow has turned into ugliness as threads burn in one sub-forum after another. But, as former Gotham City District Attorney Harvey Dent once famously said, the night is always darkest just before the dawn.

PatsFans, I am here to tell you that we are stronger TOGETHER. I believe that this once great message board will rise like a Phoenix from the ashes. While I, myself, am Team Brady, I aim to work hard for everyone. And though the attacks on my credibility from Team Bill have left me scarred and deformed, my resolve has never been stronger! In that spirit, I am declaring today, February 10, 2021 “PatsFans.com Day.” A national holiday. With that in mind, I have also implemented a few Top Poster Executive Orders. The following is now signed into law here...

1. You must add one compliment to every post you respond to. This could include a compliment on the posters looks, prose, or overall opinion. If you think the poster you’re responding to has a girth-y penis, let him know!

2. Personal attacks are now outlawed. I am the only exception.

3. You are no longer allowed to click the “Disagree” rating without explaining yourself. Those who violate this will be brutally violated and murdered on sight.

4. The “Passing the Tourch” and “I don’t care... I can’t stand it!” threads will be retrieved from the archives and unlocked for further discussion.

5. Mosslost will have his ban rescinded.

6. Debates that Ring 6 takes part in will be capped at two pages.

7. fnordcircle will be banned effective immediately. I will also find a way to liquidate every asset he owns in real life. He’s done.

8. Members who own gas guzzler vehicles will have those vehicles seized and they will be replaced with gigantic electric vibrating bildos on wheels. I am working with a team of Bills fans on the design and we anticipate production ramping up before the end of the calendar year. You will not be given a rebate on your existing vehicle.

I will advise as more executive orders are passed. In the meantime, as we all saw last month, a poem has the power to heal a nation and erase all wounds. Unless I am sitting on a filthy toilet in a public bathroom with a Sharpie, however, I am no poet. But I can, and will, give a speech to conclude the thread and kick off the holiday. Like Ron Borges, I have written this material myself without any assistance from anyone. I hope everyone will be inspired by this speech and call out of work immediately following it to celebrate the holiday properly.

Good morning. In less than an hour Patriots fans from here will join others from around the world, and you will be launching the largest Kumbaya moment in the history of Pats Nation.

“Pats Nation.” That word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can’t be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests. Perhaps it’s fate that today is the 10th of February and you will once again be fighting for our freedom not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution... but from annihilation.

We’re fighting for our right to live, to exist. And should we come together today, the 10th of February will no longer be known as a PatsFans.com holiday, but as the day when Pats Nation declared loudly in one voice, “We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish... without a fight! We’re going to live on. We’re going to survive. Today we celebrate our PatsFans.com Day!”
In compliance with #1, I compliment your outstanding logic.

in compliance with #2, I shall target only you with personal attacks. You may consider your logic as my first target, for apparently failing to recognize this consequence of excepting yourself from the personal attack prohibition.

Imagone skip a point by point response to most of your other points. I support your effort in principle, maybe won’t be perfect at conforming with it in practice.

one point I will argue. I think you need to keep Fnord around, and in fact promote home to run the gigantic electric vibrating bildos on wheels project. It seems that would be right down his, er, alley...

I personally kind of like the personal attacks. They allow folks to let loose steam, and they're in the context of our shared rooting interest - the Pats.

And we're online, for goodness' sake. Sticks and stones.

Let's take a cue from Coach Belichick. "Pond scum"?!

I know I've deserved most of the attacks directed at me. I have it on good authority that I'm annoying. And they keep me humble. I wish I had one of Adalius Thomas' T-shirts (available on Amazon?).

There’s a Belichick vs Brady discussion going on?
Tom Jackson said, "They hate their coach." The truth is, HE hates OUR coach.

So Amendola and Welker don't like Bill. Big whoop.

I don't see Danny giving back his rings.

And when Wes is inducted into the team/league HOF's, he can talk about Brady all he wants. But it was Bill who brought him here. Him and Tom.

If that is to happen, Wes will really have to put his best foot forward... He needs to toe the line to get into theNEHoF... He really put his foot in his mouth way back when... his achillies heel was his wiseassery... he bound the offense hand and foot when he was held out that first series... BB had no choice but to make Wes cool his heels... WW must have had itchy feet because of BBs decision... he really needed to keep his feet on the ground... He's taken the next step though, and if he is nominated he's probably a shoe in for the NE HoF

It's nice to see that you've handled the logo change so well. :)
To make sure he's up to date on Gronk and Brady, he's also rooting for the return of Bucco Bruce and the Creamsickle Unis

Ian

Sign Andy Johnson to whatever the hell he's asking and all turmoil goes away because.......

in the end he always gets the last word and he's always right.

Just ask him, tell tell you that.

FYI, I'm the only poster who won arguments against both @andy johnson and @Ring 6 .
