Go GPODAWUND!Browns' new Front Office has been stellar. Racking up pick and all. If they can get a good draft now and in 2018, they could become a good team for a change (Crazy)

Yes, I do. You know why? Because Belichick feels that his team is better off without Collins.
Plus they only had 10 players.Bombshell.
*Any relevance to 12-men-on-the-field--twice--yesterday?
The look on Patricia & Belichick's faces said it all.
Beyond that, I vote this one goes in the Glenn, Milloy, Moss, Mankins category of outcome.
And, NOT the Vinatieri, Branch, Seymour, Talib category.
Thank you.
If you think they are really better off without one of their most talented players and that Belichick is 100% beyond questioning then we'll just have to agree to disagree....which is fine.
I think the Shadow knew.
Could someone explain to me how the 3rd round comp pick we're getting from Cleveland is better than the 3rd round comp pick we would've got anyway when he walked this offseason? Given how many big-ticket FAs we have, I think it's reasonable to assume we would've got a comp pick.
You don't need 60m, to sign 1 free agents. I am not complaining, but I am pointing out, we have not signed top dollar free agents in recent years.
I would rather have kept Collins for the remainder of the year & taken the 2018 comp pick.
yep I stated that earlier in the thread. The only scenario under which I could remotely defend this trade is if Belichick sat down with Collins and afterwards came to the conclusion that this whole contract situation is hurting his motivation on the field.
Honestly, I know Collins has been banged up, but I haven't even really noticed him during games. He's kind of faded whereas a guy like Roberts has been all over the field making plays.
I don't like that the Patriots only got a 3rd rounder for Collins, I wish there was another facet to the trade such as Thomas or Hayden, but there could still be more moves to be made who knows.
So while I don't particularly like the trade, I'm not going into "oh my god we can't win the superbowl now" mode, if any team can overcome a loss like losing Collins it's this team.
If you think they are really better off without one of their most talented players and that Belichick is 100% beyond questioning then we'll just have to agree to disagree....which is fine. Belichick obviously has a great track record, but this one is a real head scratcher. I definitely think the team can get through this but the road will be harder.
But he hasn't been one of their most talented players this year.
Wow a WTF moment for sure. But I guess we know now that they couldn't afford to resign everyone we want, and who became Mr. Expendable No. 1. Sorry to see Jamie go, however. Hope we'll be okay without his good play. How bad do you F up to get the "traded to Cleveland" punishment?!
What a bizarre trade...unless his agent is after like $15m a year, of course.
Now he's gone ... just a bit sooner than expected.
