If Collins wants elite money with the Pats, he needs to offer something elite. He doesn't. Pass rush? Run stopping? Pass coverage? No to all of these. When he's on his game, he's one of the most versatile LBs in the game that does all of these good to great, but not a single thing elite.

The Pats recognize this all-around greatness and were willing to pay $11M/year. He balked, he walked.

Pats will now need to make up for his skills using combinations of guys in various down/distance situations. But make no mistake: They do not need to make for any missing elite skill.

With Jamie Collins contract coming up, he was at one point asking for what one league source described as “Von Miller money." Von: 6-$114.5M

And pats were offering him 11mil per year. If he wanted Von Miller money than he should singlehandedly destroy Seattle and not letting Seattle to return at the end, and not allow 14points last year. Von miller earn money because last year playoff run.

I was in the hospital last February and 1 of my nurses who is also from Mississippi who said she was best friends with JC said the same thing about him not liking the North East.

Honest to god I was thinking the same watching yesterday's game. Didn't hear Collins name once, unlike a corner, it's never good not to hear a LBs name.

I actually said the same thing during the game yesterday.

I'm upset at trading what Collins was and could be. If the player we traded wasn't named Jamie Collins and was based on only this year, I'd be like "meh."
