Re: Pats Schedule (merged)

Anyone see the Browns schedule? - Makes our schedule look like we play Division 1 opponents

Say goodbye Mangini....Can't see the Browns winning more than 4 games with that schedule

Re: Pats Schedule (merged)

One goody about an early bye, Welker (and anyone else TBD) gets an extra week to heal on PUP

I believe they still have to sit out a certain number of actual games (versus NFL weeks) but yes the extra week will help.

Re: Pats Schedule (merged)

6 Sun, Oct 17 Baltimore 1:00 PM
7 Sun, Oct 24 @ San Diego 4:15 PM
8 Sun, Oct 31 Minnesota 4:15 PM
9 Sun, Nov 7 @ Cleveland 1:00 PM
10 Sun, Nov 14 @ Pittsburgh 8:20 PM
11 Sun, Nov 21 Indianapolis 4:15 PM
12 Thu, Nov 25 @ Detroit 12:30 PM
13 Mon, Dec 6 NY Jets 8:30 PM

That is a brutal stretch. If Pittsburgh sucks this year, it's not so bad. If Pittsburgh comes back from its down year last year, we'll be playing the toughest 6 teams on the schedule over a span of 8 weeks.

All bunched together.

Halloween!!!

I have toddlers?!?!?!

It's a home game, NFL, didn't you have enough West Coast games, or heck, Midwest games??

Re: Pats Schedule (merged)

I was really hoping for the Bills to host the Patriots in there annual Skydome game as Toronto is a cheaper option to see the team instead of seeing them in Boston...

Re: Pats Schedule (merged)

Dolphins must have asked not to play in New England in December and the league accommodated them....They gave them week 17... on January 2.....

Right. That was precisely my point.

Bills fans complained that it has been divisional opponents the last two years, the NFL listened apparently.

Detroit and Cleveland will be like mini byes. I got no qualms about this schedule. Week 5 bye with some space between the Ravens and SD would have been ideal, but other than that nothing to complain about... Conservatively I see 11-5 or 12-4 barring catastrophy.

Re: Pats Schedule (merged)

I think this season will be a battle at the middle of the season and our division games, as the Dolphins and Jets and picking up key prospects. But then again I could make an educated guess and the pats go 16-0 again. So who knows!

You never know how these teams will look at that point in time during the season, but right now that looks like a ******* gauntlet. Baltimore, SD, Minn, Pitt, Indy, and the Jets all in the span of 8 weeks? Holy crap. That is the make or break stretch of the season as far as I'm concerned.

I have no cable and no DVR. I'm an over the air person who also has Slingbox and who occasionally meets up with friends at the bar.

Re: Pats Schedule (merged)

If I remember correctly flex scheduling starts week 11, which happens to trhe week the Pats/Colts play.

There is no way CBS lets that game go.. The networks are allowed to protect one game on the schedule.. That will be the one.. What is disturbing, is why is this game later than usual....

Re: Pats schedule [merged]

At least we get to play Cleveland, Detroit, and Chicago on the road... meaning we get three of the tougher opponents at home instead. Definitely a plus there. I actually don't think it's all that bad of a schedule... bring on the season!

Re: Pats schedule [merged]

A lot of you are saying that this is a tough schedule, but I actually like it. Some of the things I like...

1. We get the Jets early, in week two, when they will have to play without Santonio Holmes and Edwards. Also, it will be a 4:15 game.

2. @Miami game is in early October and is a prime time Monday night game, so heat shouldn't be a factor for the team (though the humidity might).

3. Vikings and Packers games are at home.

4. Jets @ Pats is a Monday night game.

5. We're playing Thanksgiving. :rocker:

6. Dolphins have to come to Gillette in early January.

Some things I don't like...

1. Really early bye week.

2. Having to go to San Diego then coming back to play the Vikings the next week (assuming Favre returns).

3. Brutal middle part of the schedule which sees the Pats go to Pittsburgh, then come back to play the Colts, then Thanksgiving, then a division game against the Jets.

Re: Pats schedule [merged]

I dont know about you guys but I'm excited about this schedule. It'll show us how tough our team really is.

One thing I wish would've happened though is Steelers w/o Ben in week 1

Re: Pats schedule [merged]

i like that they play the jets bills and fish in weeks two three and for. we get to see were this team stands vs the east.
