Re: 2010 Schedule

Wow Baltimore at san diego minn in oct , not to mention at miami on mon. back to back at pitt , indy, and turkey day.. Not a cake walk...

Re: 2010 Schedule

At least all the tough NFC North games are at home.

Re: 2010 Schedule

I hate having the early bye. That middle part looks brutal as well, but a good chance to get up on the division with 3 division games in the first 4 weeks.

Re: 2010 Schedule

The first 4 before the bye look ok. Bengals, @NYJ, Bills, @Miami. That Miami game being a night game is a gift. The middle looks rough. Ravens, @SD, Vikings, @Cle, @Pitt, Colts. That is pretty much the make or break stretch.

10-6 sound ok?

Re: 2010 Schedule

12-4 indy, pitt, lions tough stretch

Re: 2010 Schedule

At least we can watch the Pats play on Thanksgiving day

6th hardest schedule compared to our opponents results from last season.

We are going to have to be on point and be lucky with injuries.

Re: 2010 Schedule

No back to back home games and 1 back to back road games.

Re: 2010 Schedule

Horrid schedule, but the one positive is that the toughest games, are mostly going to be played at home. Colts, Vikings, Ravens, Packers, all in Foxboro. Still though, the schedule looks rough, especially when you consider the fact that the division games, namely against the Jets and Dolphins, are going to be tougher than last year, as those teams are only getting better. Tough schedule for sure. The Pats will be in a dog fight for a playoff spot I think, since it's very possible that they won't win the division, and could be fighting for one of the two wild card slots.

Re: 2010 Schedule

The first four games, we should walk away 3-1 or 4-0. The middle part we're going to suffer some growing pains with a young team. But I see coming off a bye, I see us going 3-3 over the next 6 games (maybe 2-4). This will be a great test of our team because they are all high calibur teams (except the Browns) and the young players should learn a lot. But the last 6 games we should go no worse than 4-2 (I'm saying 5-1, losing to Green Bay).. A great way to finish off to the season and head into the playoffs with some steam

10-6 or 11-5

Re: 2010 Schedule

We play the Jets, Packers and Dolphins at HOME in December. That's huge. The only two road games in December are Chicago and Buffalo.

We have an advantageous December schedule.

Re: 2010 Schedule

General impressions:

I've never seen a schedule with no back to back home games.

Two REALLY tough stretches, the first is the three weeks coming off of the bye. Then the "break" with a road game at Cleveland and followed by @Pitt, vs Indy, @Detroit on a short week, then an extra long week before the NYJ on MNF. Crazy.

The length of time between the Detroit game and the Jets MNF game is interesting. Can't remember a MNF game after a Thanksgiving game before. I'm sure it has happened though.

There is something about playing in Buffalo in December that I just love.

The last time we played Cincy and NYJ in weeks 1 and 2, we won the Super Bowl, just saying...

4 Primetime games as it stands now, plus you know that Colts game will be a national tv game and the Thanksgiving Day game. Who says the Patriots have lost their allure to the tv people?

I'm surprised that Baltimore game wasn't made a primetime or at least a 4:15 game.

Re: 2010 Schedule

The Jets are going to take a step back this year. They will be like the Falcons of 09 and the Browns of 08, ie: the suprise team from the year before that everyone picks to do big things and falls apart.

I have nothing scientific to base that off of, it's just the feeling I have. I had the same feeling about the Falcons last year and I was right.

Re: 2010 Schedule

Schedule looks much more manageable than last few years.

Tough Breaks:

-At San Diego earlier in the year (its hot), along with the west coast trip, is tough.

-At Pitt, Indy ultimate hype game, then the quick turnaround on t-day is tough.

-At Buffalo in late December is never easy, even though the Bills maybe the worst team in football this year.

Good Breaks:

-We get the SECOND Jets game at the new stadium. Less pumped up crowd, its a afternoon instead of the night-game, that is HUGE

-At Miami in early October, but its at NIGHT. Much less heat/humidity.

-Even though we already knew this, Indy at home is much easier than playing inside in Indy.

-We got the two toughest NFC North games at home (Minny and GB), while playing the two weaker teams (seemingly) is a good break.

-For now, the home game versus the Jets is at night, which improve the crowd noise for that one.

I think the schedule makers were much nicer to us this year compared to 07-09. I know the tendency is too look at schedule and look at the toughest games and go WE'RE SCREWED. But considering our opponents, I think this we got some good breaks.

Re: 2010 Schedule

The break between the thanksgiving game and mnf is almost a makeup for the no back to back home games. Almost a 2nd bye week.

That IS huge, probably the biggest advantage overall.
