Pats probably will need to play BOTH Pitt and KC in playoffs

do you really think Houston will beat the raiders? even without carr, Oakland has talent.

I do. I think the Raiders season ended with Carr. But you might be right, McGloin may be a better QB than the stiffs the Texans have.

Houston looked so awful against cincy last saturday. either way I think we play KC/Oak or Houston.

Who cares who we play? That isn't going to change a thing!
You think the other team and fans are looking forward to playing the Pats in Foxborough?
We can only play the teams on our schedule!

And then..Hopefully we play the lions in the superbowl! we can't keep dodging good teams, we've never won that way.
2011 was kind of that way. (barely lost SB)

Tebow then, Ravens at home instra

actually yes they are, because that is how you get to the SB.

I think KC is over rated there pass offense is Travis Kelce and that's it. Spencer Ware there RB has been below average the last few games and most of all there pass rush has not been close to what it was in years past and u cant beat Brady without a Elite pass rush

I disagree. Despite their poor performance last night, the Broncos play with a chip on their shoulder. They were the reigning Super Bowl champs who failed to even make the playoffs. I think they'll come out angry and play for pride in front of their fans, especially against a Division rival.
The team I watched last night quit.

I don't trust the donkey's to do anything. They need to bench semen and put lynch in.

they might play their rookie QB also

I think Denver has mailed it in. Oakland gets the sweep.

Broncos -3.5 vs Raiders

The wise guys in Vegas don't see this as a mop-up game, and they typically know that kind of stuff. Broncos might be better off with Lynch. Siemian is not good and can't make big plays when he needs to.

Still only had like 13 pts.

16, actually...in a game that where they led for much of it rather than the 18 we put up in garbage time at week later.
Look, nobody is saying they are better than us...but to pretend like they are not the most formidable foe we potentially face in the playoffs is disingenuous.

The team I watched last night quit.

They quit on a rainy night in KC after being down multiple scores and their coach trying an idiotic fake FG. Even if they have nothing to play for their last game is at home and I doubt that they will want to go into the offseason like that. Their players enjoy the spotlight and their media presence too much for that.

That beings said, with the crap offense of theirs I am not sure it will be enough against the Carr-less Raiders..

We can't play Pitt until AFCCG no matter what.

Not true.

On Wildcard Weekend you have #6 vs #3 and #5 vs #4.
Then on Divisional Weekend the #1 plays the lowest remaining seed and #2 plays the highest remaining seed.

I believe PIT is locked in at #3. So if NE ends up with the #2, NE has an excellent chance of playing #3 (and hence PIT) in the divisional round.

If NE ends up with #1, then yes, the only way NE plays PIT is in the AFCCG.

Correct. I apologize if I was not clear. I meant with us getting the One seed.

The Pats are 7-0 on the road, and 5-1 against winning teams. That cannot be discounted at all.

They are the best team in the AFC. Any other team with a different opinion... bring it.

Consider this scenario:
Pats win at Miami
Denver beats Oakland
KC beats Chargers

Then Houston beats Oakland in Round 1
Chiefs beat Steelers in round 2

All of those seem very reasonable (my guess is all those games would have the favorite winning except maybe Chiefs beating Steelers).

That means the Pats playoff path in the AFC would be home for Houston, home for KC.

As I said in another thread, people would still be complaining that we haven't beaten anyone good right up until the Super Bowl.

I really do think we are playing Houston and KC, I have been putting it all over the board. I understand the Houston team being lucky to be in the AFC south .. but beating KC will be tough and anyone who thinks KC is not a good team hasn't watched them this year.

That Oakland Denver game is huge for us.

Did Thomas and Sanders even play last night.

I may have seen Thomas one one play but don't remember seeing Sanders at all.

I wouldn't use the word "heart" in any positive descroption of the Broncos.

Too bad they get to play half of their games in a stadium which adversely affects the health of the opposition, otherwise their record would be much more indicative of their true performance level.

Oh no, not the big bad Steelers...Brady has such a horrible history against them, especially at home. I think he's actually winless at home against the Steelers.

Plus we know how the Pats usually get eliminated by high scoring offenses with no defense in the playoffs.

I don't know guys, it might just be too much.

Then you have Andy Reid and Alex Smith on the other side, the two guys that come right to mind when I think of guys who step up the best when the big game is on the line.

Very scary times indeed, must be haunting Belichick and Brady as I type this.

Well, I think they quit before the game started which is why they got down by multiple scores.

But who knows, you very well might be right and their egos will propel them to have a better effort this week.
