Brady just had the biggest championship performance in sports history. The last image of the 2016 season was him hoisting the Lombardi. The guy is still the best QB in the game with no signs of decline. I'm all about thinking for the future, but it is not here yet.

people are nuts if they think Brady's last year AS A PATRIOT is 2017.. He is retiring here, and it's not soon enough for Jimmy to be the heir. However, I am all for them getting TOP picks for Jimmy or let him walk in a year, or F it cap him in 2018...

Anyone fan who says Brady will fall off a cliff and should be traded or something of that sort. Where's your sense of loyalty. 5 super bowl wins. Bust his ass every season. If he falls sucks next year who cares. I can live with a few bad seasons for all the good ones we have had but it will never come to that because we have BB to help us adjust with better a more dominant run game and such.

I think all this is is pats telling people "if you come here with anything less than a high 1st rounder we will hold onto jimmy. They can let him walk next year, sign a big contract and get a 3rd round comp pick if all teams are offering is a 2nd its not too big of a difference and if brisett is not ready yet its worth having a backup who can step in and win games
