Heck, it could work out great as the case with Ted Washington in 2003, coincidentally for a fourth round draft pick, or flop like Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson in 2011.

There seems to be no in-between with the BB trades. They are either boom or bust.

This one might be the biggest..

Cardinals will get third-round pick in return - NFL - ESPN

The New England Patriots plan to bolster their depleted cornerback corps on Thursday, as they have agreed in principle to a trade that will bring them veteran Duane Starks of the Arizona Cardinals.

Barring any unexpected complications, the Super Bowl champions will send a third-round draft pick to Arizona in exchange for Starks, a top-flight cover corner who was plagued by injuries the past three seasons. The teams also will swap places in the fifth round.

It's not his season because he accidentally was involved in the injury of another player? Gosh, Sammy Morris always sucked, then.
Julian Edelman season to date - 13 receptions, 100 receiving yards. In addition, Julian Edelman has already missed three games due to a hand injury.

To add insult to injury, Julian Edelman inadvertently injures one of the key New England Patriots offensive weapons in the second game of the season.

It's a fact that Julian Edelman isn't very good. Trying to use Hernandez's injury to support that claim, though, is pretty ridiculous.

Bringing up the injury thing is ridiculous, to put it kindly.

Breer tweet:

Some analysis of the Talib trade bordering on comical. Let's call it what it is -- A dice-roll by Patriots and a bailout for the Bucs.

Very true.

Breer's a hater.

I'll give credit to Bill Belichick for trying to resolve deficiencies in the New England Patriots defensive secondary at such a critical date.

2013 NFL Free Agents: DB

even if it doesn't work out..they tried at a critical time..have to give them big props regardless if this works out or not

DRC or Jammer please

The guy is a quality corner, I don't see why it's a dice roll any more than any other trade. Out side of the current suspension, his off-field issues haven't caused him to miss any games AFAIK.

I don't see how this is really a bailout for the Bucs. If they let him go in FA, wouldn't they have gotten ~4th in compensatory?

past 2 years he hasn't been very good on coverage..something like 109 passer rating when opposing QBs pass to his side. It's a dice roll due to the 4th round for a 7 game tryout aspect as well as his personal issues.

I like the move becasue he is probably better than anything we have at this current moment.

If the San Diego Chargers don't make the playoffs, I would not be surprised if Dean Spanos decides to go in another direction, to put it kindly.

Seriously though, does anyone have any thoughts on Arrington?

Bill keeping him over Moore, when they're roughly statistically the same and his insistence on playing him suggests it's not just an issue of regression.

Thoughts?

There has never been a day where Moore was higher on the depth chart than Arrington. I don't know how you can find it surprising that Moore was the one cut.

Where it the world are you getting those stats from?

If that means the firing of Norv Turner, then everyone in the AFC is worse off.

from that website already posted..he has been getting worse since his rookie year..still young however and better than anyone we have
