Believing in referee conspiracies against your team is SOOOO totally Gang Green/Jets fan behavior.

I don't believe it's a "refs conspiracy"...I firmly believe it's Roger Goodell, lifelong Jet fan from youth, first employed by the Jets, recommended to the NFL personally by Leon Hess after being turned down for employment 20 times, the same Roger Goodell who fines the Patriots a million dollars and an INVALUABLE first round pick, ostensibly over the placement of a camera, not that the camera can't be used, but WHERE it is placed....Goodell fined the Patriots a MILLION DOLLARS. Rex Ryan throws his middle finger to the general public in a pic that goes viral on the internet...50 K fine...paid by whom??? Not Ryan. Then Ryan tells a fan of the team HE coaches to go eff himself...on camera and recorded...tsk tsk...just Rex being Rex..another slap on the wrist....toe fetish degeneracy??? nothing...swept under the rug...private matter..poor guy...a head coach is a deviant on video...nothing wrong about that...it's where that camera is!!! Give me a million dollars and forget your first round pick!! Organized tripping in game of opponenets in play? Oh, it was all that dago Alosi's fault...Rex never knew!!! Westhoff told Goodell it was Belichick's fault anyway...nothing to see here...move along...and don't forget, all those pregame libels and slanders cascading like the rushing water over Niagara Falls before the Pats/Giants Super Bowl...you as commissioner, it is your obligation to let this spiral out of control by saying NOTHING.

Right...tell me what Rat fan ever experienced the wrong side of THIS criminal conspiracy?

According to my DVR, Pats-Donks replays at 12:30 AM ET/11:30 PM CT (i.e., about one hour from the time of my post).

I commented numerous times on this in the first half of the game thread. It was why those holes were opening up inside.
I'm not naive to discount the comment that holding happens on almost every down in the NFL, but it was blatantly obvious on second inspection.

so...just went and walked it off...feel better now...sorry for the same ol' diatribe....and I do NOT look anything like Mel Gibson...

why no challenge on the Hernandez catch in the EZ??? On this replay that is a touchdown. So the Pats get screwed out of 4 points...fire Belichick!!!

I find it hard to believe how many Pats fans are claiming that there was "conclusive evidence" that the ball never touched the ground. Really?? I've watched the replay a dozen times and

- it's clear that there was not complete possession at that point
- the ball likely (but not definitively) touched the ground

There is about a 1% chance of this play being overturned on replay - if the referee was out to lunch.

No matter how that call was ruled live, there was really zero chance of it being overturned. Good no challenge by BB.

Re: Carey that refused to call obvious penalties against the NEW YOUK GIA+NTS

yeah...I'm still steamed...I feel like an insignificant pawn in a game of three card monty whenever this Carey creep refs a Pats game...it just kills me that everybody in the media and most fans actually believe that Carey reffed this game because it was his crew's turn in this completely unbiased ref crew rotation....here you go week by week

week 1...Jerome Boger crew

week 2..Ed Hochuli

week 3..John Parry

week 4...Scott Green

week 5...Gene Steratore

week 6...bye

week 7..Clete Blakeman

week 8...Walt Coleman

week 9...John Parry...AGAIN

week 10...Ron Winter

week 11...Bill Leavy...yup..the Jets game...jeezus krist...WTF more do I have to do to make this clear?

week 12...Scott Green's crew...AGAIN...BUT..headed by Jeff Triplette, the Yee Haw rebel still fighting the civil war...San Diego never had a chance

week 13...Terry McAulay

week 14...Carl Cheffers...who??...exactly

WEEK 15....Presto!!!!...Mike Carey!!! what a COINKY DINKY!!! sure...just happened to *nudge nudge wink wink* work out that way...say Commish, Jets get Leavy's crew???and the Pats get Carey's crew????? the same Carey that refused to call obvious penalties and violations in the Super Bowl against the ...ahem...cough NEW YORK GIANTS??? The biggest game of the season as far as media hype coverage, NFL expert blathering and over the top media overexposure of the CHOSEN ONE?>?? COINKY DINKY!!! That's all...nothing to see here...move along now....

right...look, somebody has their fly open and your back is getting wet ...he says "it's raining...HONEST!!!"...are you seriously going to believe him? Two ref crews work Denver games twice and suddenly, MIRACULOUSLY, the Mike Carey crew appears in the biggest, most watched and hyped game of the season....but it's completely legit. Just watch the replay...it's just incredible how blatant Carey is.

...........

Whether the Cuban Mafia was involved or not (or was it the Cubans and the Mafia? Anyway...), the Broncos got did get away with two blatant holding penalties on big runs early in the game. The first, on Maghee's big run on Denver's first series was so obvious in particular because Maghee ran right next the WR, or TE that was holding Ninkovich. They showed the replay to herald the Broncos good blocking and the hold stood out even more. I went mental and shouted to my friend - The Fix IS IN!!! I have to remain more calm tonight if I watch NFL Turning Point (Versus 10pm).

That's what I'm guessing; they just couldn't tell one way or the other.

In any case, though, as it turns out, the only truly awful decision in this particular case would have been challenging and losing, as it would have cost them a timeout, and, quite likely, the gift FG Quan Cosby handed them.
