Pats defense....

I only blame them for giving up 17 points. They have an excuse for 3 points on each TD after the ST fumbles.

They looked great tonight. The disguise was top notch. They won't be able to run that scheme against every quarterback that they encounter, but it worked well on Flacco. He had no clue who was dropping (Long dropped into coverage quite a bit) and who was rushing. If it wasn't for Cyrus Jones, they would have whooped that ass.

The D gave up 9 points off of non turnover drives. The 2 TD drives were scored on short fields after the turnovers. To nitpick they need to shore up their tackling but other than that a really solid effort.

Quite funny how it works, often they've given up 20 pts and looked like crap.

Tonight they were awesome the defense played MUCH BETTER than 23 points would suggest, if the special teams didn't turn the ball over you could of been looking at a 30-13 type of game.

Tackling will be a key point of emphasis after this game. Special teams too no doubt. Almost cost us the game.

Before the contrarians come in and say the D underperformed in the 2nd half....

The Patriots D basically shut out the Ravens in the 1st half.... then got dealt a very bad hand in 2nd half, and STILL held on

hopefully we can keep going that direction against simean next week and end denvers playoff hopes...as well as exorcise bradys demons in that stadium

This was a great, great defensive performance. They got deflated after idiot jones decided to run towards a bouncing punt, but they got their groove back at the end. But until jones decided to be Jones they were great.

Everybody knows I've been very tough on their defense but I have very little complaints w them tonight.

Flacco is a guy I thought could do some real damage against them... he didn't.

Good time of year to be playing this well.

The D is ready.
This looked like what we expected after the preseason.
MP was obviously saving it.
Lots more behind his ear I guess.

Flacco under threw an open Wallace on one play....Cyrus obviously got Ras-I Dowling'ed on big play to Perriman (that could've given them a 1 point lead). Other than that pass coverage was fine, they gave up a lot of short stuff, tackling was excellent in first half. Second it deteriorated but as above poster said, they were on field for 2/3 of the half.

Promising effort, not sure we will see a QB that good until second round of playoffs (unless you think Siemian and Tannyhill are better than Flacco - spoiler they aren't), so good litmus test here. They did get carved up on both touchdowns on the short fields (did the second one remind anyone else of the one to Forsett to make it 28-14 in 2014?).

Great design. Great focus entire 60'. Great execution. Great energy. Great dedication.
Looking forward to Mile 54!

The team was sharp, except for special teams in the second half. I feel safe knowing that 1. Jones will be banished to the practice squad and 2. Slater is still coming off his injury and will be back to the Slater we all know and love very soon. Nothing negative coming out of this game at all. Blount was able to run on the #1 rushing defense, the offense was awesome against maybe the best defense in the league, and the defense totally shut down a legit Championship calibre QB. It's a great night gentlemen!

our big boys in the middle are handful. these big boys destroys the run and generate pressure from the middle. alan branch not getting suspended was huge.

Is it just me? I thought in recent weeks the defence is playing with more emotion and more like a team than in the weeks up to and including the Seattle game. Notice that they are congratulating / hyping up each other after good plays much more often than before.

The played excellent up until Jones' fumble. After that they were simply on the field for too long. They might have dominated the Ravens' offense for the entire 2nd half too if they hadn't been sent out in succession that fast in the third quarter by the fumbles of Jones and Slater, but rather given a breather by the offense.

I would hope they can fool Siemian equally as well next week.

Loved the game plan, which would have been even more manifest had the special teams not botch two returns. The disguises worked this week just like they did last week. Stout against the run; Loved seeing them fly to the football and gang tackle. They are trending in the right direction and at the right time.
