Marco Wilson, the former Cardinals starting cornerback, was claimed by the New England Patriots after being waived by Arizona on Tuesday.

Seems as though he was solid as a rookie and played well in 2022 but then the wheels came off this year. Started a lot of games during his first two years. Definitely worth a claim.

They have traditionally been excellent at developing DBs so I think this is a good pick-up. They picked up street free agent rookie Alex Austin mid-season and shined him up pretty good. This seems like emergency depth for 2023 but more of a move with an eye towards 2024.

We are good from both sides too. We are good at working with the Talibs and Gilmores and lower end guys Like Butler and now Bryant.

Yes incredible athlete. The player reviews say bad technique and "doesn't get it". Same critique all the way back to FL college days. Supposed to be better in zone where he thinks less and uses his athleticism more. Complete opposite of Myles Bryant who is a smart player with no athleticism.

They have had other similar guys here with similar billings who have become good players. Typically the concept of “do your job” helps them. Everyone else in the secondary is where they should be so that player can focus on just doing their specific assignment and not trying to do too much.

The Proven Performance Escalator makes a lot of sense for a lot of players, but there’s a handful of players each year that qualify due to injuries or poor roster building and aren’t worth the increased fourth year salary. This looks like one of those cases. He’s probably a long shot to remain on the roster at that salary next season.
