Yeah I expect to see that factor as a big part of the game plan. Making quick decisions, fast reads and throws. I doubt they will go deep often but can probably keep pace if they can find a little success running the ball and short passing. Get rid of the ball before the defense can even get close to the QB.
Having gisikie available Week 1 is huge for the offense.. his presence along with HH.. allows for all those underneath routes, and running lanes for the Backs. Gisikie is a problem for defenses.

Who cares. Chuck Noll was 102-105 without Terry Bradshaw.

Take away a great QB from a great coach and suddenly the coach isn't as great until he finds another franchise QB. We all know this.

What makes Bill great was what he did with Tom after he drafted him. You dismiss that as lazy and comes across as agenda driven.
One thing BB did with Brady was to keep him on the roster.

The Pats kept four QBs on the roster in his rookie year.

How many other teams would have done that with a 6th round pick?

How many teams would have cut Brady in his rookie year if another team drafted him?

I contend a lot of teams would have considered his draft position and cut the GOAT in his first year.

Remember the Rats cut UDFA Danny Woodhead, in favor of a 3rd round pick who wasn’t playing as well.

I honestly didn't know much about Anderson was looking him up. The most impressive thing I read is that in 4,212 snaps he has allowed two sacks and has not been called for a penalty. That's impressive.

But he has never been a full time starter for 16 games. I do wonder if folks on here are expecting to much from him? Seems the hype doesn't really match the reality of what he has been as a player. Which is a spot starter with a couple of stretch starts.
Beggars can't be choosers. I like him over the alternatives and I'm sure Mac do too.

I bet we never see Reiff, that they do an injury settlement and let him go. Looks like we blew a few million there. Sow offers the same skill set. This assumes that Lowe and Wheatley that we just got in trade can walk & chew gum at the same time, addressing depth concerns.

Phillthy is well aware of the Pats' OL issues. Even a great OL would struggle vs. their pass rush. They don't need to blitz to passrush effectively which should help vs. the Pats power run game.
So what do we do?
Obviously, our OL needs to be as solid as possible, a tall task with so little time spent together.
Mac needs to get rid of the ball quickly.
So which receivers get open the quickest?
1. Bourne
2. Douglas. Yeah,he's a rook, but he gets open quicker than anyone besides Bourne
3. Henry
4. Juju
Parker has had a solid preseason but I don't see him getting a lot of targets in this game.
Rham and Zeke will catch a few as well.
I trust BOB to come up with best offensive game plan he can vs. Phillthy
But BOB will mix in a couple of deep shots and Parker could the target of those. I'd like a stat line of 2 receptions 60 yards.

Current Patriots QB Mac Jones said Tuesday on WEEI’s “Jones and Mego with Arcand” that Brady has been a “mentor.”

“He’s definitely a legend, and I have all the respect for him,” Jones said. “He’s a great guy. He’s actually helped me a lot already, just talking to him or whatever, and he’s been a great mentor and stuff.

“He’s a great player, love watching his film. He pops up on game tape obviously from last year too. He’s always on the film doing the right things. Just trying to learn from him. He’s been awesome.”

...

Jones said last month that “Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback to ever player in the NFL.” He also said that he’s “trying to chase the standard that he set every day.”

Yeah obviously you have to take ?some deep shots to keep the defense somewhat honest. And if the Pats are having some success with the short- immediate game plus run game, those deepshots could be big plays like you noted

No reports from practice today. Those of us without birdie tweet accounts or x marks the spot depend on our brethren here with accounts to help us out.

A productive RPO game can beat a pass rush. Some toss sweeps will help too.

I expect some RPO in this game. Really, all season. Both BOB and Mac have had success with it

I think we also need to pull a couple of plays outta Felix's Bag O'Tricks to keep the Philthy defense on their toes awhile... As in like the first play from scrimmage...

Where did you see that Anderson has 4212 snaps??

Below are Anderson's Offensive snap counts . Anderson also spent time on special teams with Denver.
in 2022, Anderson had 439 snaps and gave up 2 sacks ad was called for 1 penalty
in 2021, Anderson had 172 snaps with 0 sacks and 0 penalties.
in 2020, Anderson had 132 snaps with 0 sacks and 0 Penalties.

From PFF: (ignore the "grading"

Who is this Gisikie guy you're talking about? Do you mean Gesicki?
