Interesting to read BB singling out KB for a great offseason. I think he has a big year.

Fun thinking about how KB was in Fatty P’s doghouse all last season for- why exactly I don’t know.

My guess is because MattyP didn't like being told he was f'in things up in terms of the Shanahan Outside Zone schemes.

No access to the article but I'm all-in on the premise. I'd say the trickier one is Dugger. Teams don't really back up the truck for safeties. Extending him before he hits the market could very well mean paying more than they would by matching the best offer he gets out there.

Honestly i wouldnt even care if we slightly overpaid... we need to get away from this "absolute maximum value on every single contract" that we strive for.. That was easier to pull off when we were in the AFCCG every other year, where players would consider giving up a little bit to come play for us.. it also blows up in our face when they doll out terrible contracts to guys like Agholor and Jonnu

Dugger is a young, home grown talent that has been getting better every single year.. an "overpay" today is underpaid in 2 years

We have cap space, we need to use it.. if they refuse to sign any of our good players to contract extensions because they can't shave $1 million off the deal, then we're going to be an 8-8 team or worse for the foreseeable future

If there are young guys on this team that are legit, you PAY them to stay around.. you dont cheap out trying to get yard sale prices for top talent, especially homegrown talent.. they should be more comfortable with their homegrown players than the other 31 teams

the more we see Jack Jones working with the first team, the more confident I become that his Logan faux pas ISN'T going to require jail time. Probably a suspension (2-4 games), but not jail time. I don't think the Pats would waste first team snaps on him if they thought he'll spend the season in jail or get a long suspension from Goodell

Yeah, I thinking they're preparing for him to miss some games but not a lot of games.

If at the August 2023 hearing the trial is pushed to February 2024 or later, jail time will not matter. Pushing a trial out 6+ months is common. Jack will be available for all of the 2023 season and can deal with consequences from March to June in 2024 (plus any suspensions in 2024).

Yeah, I totally disagree with this. He's almost certainly looking at some jail time. His case won't be heard until sometime after this season, though, and I don't see him getting suspended until after the case is resolved. So he should be good to go for this year.

It's great to read that he still has this burst ability despite packing on 20+ pounds of muscle over the offseason. Rookies aren't even typically able to bulk up so much in their first year - usually that tends to come in year 2.

I've been hyping Demario since the draft, he's got the juice. Would be surprised if he didn't make the roster. Might even be game-day active and rotate in. Their mix of players at receiver (including the TEs) is pretty diverse, even if none of them are game-breakers.
