This might be the safest approach. We do need more upgrades but we also have 4 very young wr’s on the team already. By 2026 we’ll have a better idea and easier time moving on from some of them, that would be a better time imo to draft another wr. Plus By the sounds of it this years draft is a weaker group of wr’s, better group of de/dt/hb, thats where i hope we go with the higher picks along with taking our LT. Hunter of course is the exception here.
There’s nothing In the WR room which would keep me from taking Bond in the second or third.

He’s got that Waddle explosiveness, but his floor is Hardman.

This is good news, The Pats have not had a true #1 sine Randy !! He will bring instant credibility to the offence and teams will have to game plan with him in the line up. His guaranteed money is not too bad. It’s a win win and now if Hunter is not available at the 4th pick we can concentrate on the o-line.
This is a great move for our rookie QB also, a legit playmaker. Since he passed his physical, I am not too worried about his ACL, besides I think he wants to prove a lot of people wrong, he will be motivated!!
He’s no Randy and headed to back side of his career….hopefully recovers well from ACL and can have a few good years here…..now we need to address OL at #4

Unless that WR is Travis Hunter, I think they are done.

We have to see how all this goes: Stefon Diggs, Demario Douglas, Kayshon Boutte, Mack Hollins, Kendrick Bourne, J'Lynn Polk, J Baker.

7 WRs, need to cut 1 or 2.

Unless the front office is already relatively sure that Polk and Baker will never amount to anything, they are at their fill of WRs. Unless you grab Travis Hunter, then maybe you can let Bourne go as well.

But Diggs, Douglas, Hollins, Boutte are going to be on this team.

If you add Hunter, then Bourne, Polk and Baker fight for the 6th spot, if there is a 6th spot.
Only 2 of those 7 should feel safe. Never, ever, ever pass ip an opportunity to improve your team because you want to see if the guy who sucks might get better

If bond or higgins are there in the 3rd maybe. I would preferably go elsewhere with the first 2 picks though.

Still need trade down from 4, to 10-15ish and take part of what we get and our 2 and trade back up into the first to draft a WR. We have no WRs on the roster we would expect to be here in 2027.

First of all - awesome signing, value seems good, happy to have the player.

Second - seems like this helps them go “BPA” in the draft. They can take whoever at 4, trade down, etc. As long as they’re mindful to snag a tackle before the mid 2nd by some methodology then they are set. Hunter, Carter, Campbell, whoever is fine at 4.

Third - kind of expect them to try to trade a receiver. They already have too many and may still draft one. Bourne has some value, and Polk should as well despite the bad first year. Other teams will think they can fix him.

At this point in his career Diggs isn't a guy that makes you pass up a blue chip.
Well 1st question is would you draft Hunter as CB or WR? If WR why do you consider him a blue chipper?

Anyone think this move happened once the Giants signed Wilson? Hunter will now most likely be taken by NY imo

That would be Disastrous.
Polk and Baker badly need to learn how to be professional receivers.

I thought I read reports of his precise route running, and something that should start rubbing off on those two as soon as possible.

I can’t imagine they see Wilson as anything more than a bridge

I agree but why sign Winston and Wilson? Waiting for a shot at what QB comes up next year? I think they are going for Hunter at 3

I think folks are thinking of the old diggs doing it. Washed. We shall see. Lotta money for an expired WR...
He had six consecutive 1,000 yard seasons prior to last year and was on pace to hit that again. I don’t know if he’s washed (the ACL is certainly a question mark), but certainly closer to the end. I’m not a fan, but he’s better than anyone they had and is definitely going to make things a little easier on the guys around him.

and keep Hollins who is usually left out when we list our WR's.
I think Hollins in going to be surprisingly good this year
He had his breakout season with Josh with LV

They paid Winston as a backup. They may have decided to sit the rookie for a year.
