agreed

we have signed help almost every position; help at linebacker and safety stand out by their absence.

With every hole that is plugged in free agency, the chances increase for a
move up the draft board to grab a top quarterback or possibly a left tackle
and a top of the line linebacker.

He is alot slower than Cooks

Judging by the combine numbers you would think he isn't slow. I still think he can get deep. Much better route runner than Dorsett. It will be interesting to see the camp battle.

My fraternity brother is an eagles fan and said that he drops a lot of passe, but a helluva receiver.

He has great hands. Just the kind the Pats are looking for. 2 receptions out of 3 attempts = 66%

2017 - 69% catch rate FOOTBALL OUTSIDERS: Innovative Statistics, Intelligent Analysis | WIDE RECEIVERS 2017
2016 - 62%
2015- 66%
2014 - 65% FOOTBALL OUTSIDERS: Innovative Statistics, Intelligent Analysis | Jordan Matthews

72% of his 2016 targets were short - middle of the field. If he can stay healthy, BB has a real find.

I’ve got a feeling that more crazy moves will happen.

Earlier, I was talking about Mathews. I’m hopeful that he can make it a 1200 yard season. My theory is that if you can get 800 yards in buffalo then you might get more here hopefully. I was wrong about hogan tho. Thought his stats were better here than there

Would like to see players like him signed for 2 or 3 years, if doesn't work out then cut like Laffell, it was originally a 3 year deal.

I guess these one year deals are coming from the players camp, that one year to go shine in the Patriots and get a bigger contract after has became a pattern between agents of players that are coming from injury or haven't panned out yet.

So, with Hogan, Matthews, and Jules, the Pats have three receivers who can line up at any WR position.

Excellent possession Receiver DA replacement younger and more durable. Also good Mitchell insurance we cannot depend on those knees.

I like this signing, he's a good fit. I've always thought a bigger guy who could line up in the slot would do well here, I think he and Edelman could work together, with both of them being very versatile in where they can line up. I could see him performing really well in the Pats' offense. Probably won't have the raw production he had in 2015 (1000 yards, 8 TDs) because he won'tget the volume of targets, but I could see him being similarly impactful in a lesser role.

His hands are questionable, and I'm sure that will be frustrating, but all in all the good outweighs the bad.

FYI he didn't even get 300 yards in Buff but he was hurt.

Solid signing. Should be interesting to see which guys stick. I'm hoping Mitchell can stay healthy as he had pretty good chemistry with brady his rookie year

We'll find a slot for him

A bit disappointed that its only a 1 year signing; would have preferred that it had been a 2 year / 3 year deal with options to move on. If he plays well next year, we probably don't re-sign him due to a salary raise and we come back to the problem of not having enough young WRs.
