Player Signing Patriots sign Center Garrett Bradbury

Assuming health Bradbury is a great athlete, strong, experienced and not too old. He was a good signing, they still need one vet left tackle minimum to feel great about this offseason.

Hiring Bradbury allows them to open the competition at the left guard position to Strange and Sow… maybe slide Sow out to tackle.

It gives them more great players in the OL room and more chances for Doug Marrone to get the unit right.

1st round pick.

Why did the Vikings bale on him?
Maybe because they felt they felt they had too much of an investment in McCarthy and they liked what they saw in him before he got hurt. Who knows. By ANY statistical measurement Darnall had a fantastic year. And like any season that doesn't end in a superbowl, you are often measured by your last like it was the way you played all year.

Should we treat Tom Brady's career like it was like the playoff game against Denver when he threw 5 picks (IIRC) Of course not.

My man, I love me some fit thin women, but I think she pushes it a bit far. Could be anorexic or maybe its just the um..."position"...hey turn off the lights or a paper bag and all could be good.... =D
My guy.. I love em slim thick... yeah I think she's a bit on the too thin side.. see me I like them to have the type of thighs where you can't hear the speakers.. LMAO

My bad Ross12 disregard I saw what you were doing there... in the words of Mike apps in next Friday.. players **** up too.
Will the read Jake Andrews please stand up...... lol

I'd be okay getting a starting quality tackle and drafting a guard to compete with strange. As long as we get a solid tackle that is. Is it very possible to pick up a very decent guard with one of our 3rd round picks in this draft. Let's say for the sake of argument we get Robinson and Amari cooper... We have enough cap room to sign both... Cooper on a 1 year show me deal till he bounces... then Robinson on a 3 year deal that is really 2 year deal.

IMO the draft then hopefully goes like this.
#4 Travis Hunter to be the future #1 WR
#38 Elijah Arroyo TE - I like him. Recovering from an ACL even last year in college so we may not have seen his best... also kind of raw... but he has the tools to be dangerous and a potential difference maker. I like him at this spot.
#69 Aireontae Ersey OT - a little raw so maybe not ready to start day 1, but for us that is fine. He was a later comer to football and did track and field in high school. He has the physical tools, but needs to learn some more technique. Can't teach talent though. Some still have him falling in the 60s and 70s...but came draft night if he last this long i will be surprised and we should jump on him.
#77 Donovan Ezeiruaku - DE - A lot of talk of him being undersized and so a role player, but i don't care. This guy can rush the passer and he fits well for the Kind of D we are building. While the NFL has come around to a lot of realities of the game in the past 20 years... one thing i think they are still behind on is undervaluing undersized pass rushers in the draft. They sure get paid in free agency though and no one really cares when they are a role player then as long as they get pressure. This guy may be a top 5 pass rusher overall in this draft... and he will probably go this late. That is kind of silly,

Caedan Wallace is not a LT. Should never have been tried there. He can battle Strange for LG. If he loses out at LG, he needs to be in Moses’s back pocket at RT.

Moses should not step foot at LT. He’s a RT only.

If Hunter and Carter are gone, much to the dismay of some, Campbell is the choice at LT. And our OL will be massively better than last year.

Have we really reached the point where people take PFF ratings seriously?

And to Boot, Center is an almost impossible position to accurately grade without knowing whose responsibilities were what. You can do an eye test at best.

Darnold, whatever his name is. Sam. You know who I’m talking about.

You underrate them substantially. You were spoiled with years of Brady carrying weak crops to the superbowl. That’s over with dude. Get used to last place and minimal QB production if we don’t invest resources into getting players who can score touchdowns and put fear into defensive coordinators

WR’s are a must. However a lot of people are oblivious to the current tide in the NFL. Which has been moving for the past 3 seasons to a heavy run first league. You need good receivers, not a great ones. A good oline is a must, a good qb right there with it, and next would be a good running game. Having “great WR’s” don’t win championships. Mark my words, the Bengals never with a ring with Higgins and Chase.

I obviously left out a good defense, but that’s not the point here.

Bradbury signed.

Wallace isn’t a guard, we’ll be lucky if he makes it at tackle. His agility isn’t good. Onwenu, Strange or Sow are your starting guards.

Sow could possibly push out to tackle, either way they should bring another free agent vet in now to compete there. But I agree, if this is the situation entering the draft they should take an OT in the first, even if it’s not Campbell. They have the makings of a good line now if they find a LT, stay healthy and execute.

Cousin Wozzy, There is one lT hiding in the weeds in FA.
Joe Noteboom formerly of the Rams. Was very serviceable when in at LT. He can also play Guard. If they were away in Foxborough they would have signged this guy. easy-peasy. Perfect? ...no. Better than what we have rolled out there.

I saw a vikings fan make a pretty good point, bradberry has played next to some pretty weak guards in recent years, maybe hes just more reliant on them in pass protection. Strange is a decent pass blocker and onwenu if vrabes can whip him into shape is a strength on the other side so that could help.

While I still like the signing still, somr light digging shows that he's divise in Minn to be polite

Moses is 34, which doesnt mean everything, but it means something... he COULD experience a sharp decline at any moment and its hard to keep the OL shape well.

Both OL are upgrades, but its fair to wonder if we coulnt have had better players and/or less risk.

also having at least 1 SOLID back up on the line is almost necessary for good team. Do we have one throughtout the roster? Unclear still

Feels like we couldve gone a bit harder on the market for the trenches. Or they really believe in Strange, Sow etc...

I love Arroyo's potential but the injury history is just too intimidating to take him at 38. If he's there when the Pats pick at Gronk's favorite number, they should run that card up to the podium.

You come from the Matt Millen school of team building. How did that work out.
Nope. Just because someone wants a playmaker for our undeveloped young franchise QB doesn’t mean they only want to draft WRs, but thanks for the hyperbole. Pardon me for not having more faith in Pop Douglas and Kendrick Mourne.

I live by the philosophy if your drafting in the top 5, you go after a player who can sack the QB or score touchdowns.

If this is the center we get this year, I’ll take it. One bad block, but mostly good work.

by this clip the whole line is collapsing from both sides, pretty much a mess like ours.
Everyone knows fixing one side of the line helps a lot, at least our right side seems to look a lot better now.

He's old, but you're correct if he's healthy.

There are some other younger LT's hiding in free agency.
