Just a quick note to let everyone know the "Rumor Mill" is up and running for this offseason, and can be accessed up on the navbar above. With free agency about to kick off I'll be tracking all the reports, transactions, etc. there, so hopefully it's a reasonably good resource for everyone to follow each player and potential new ones

2014 New England Patriots Rumors

Another perk....look, it's time for you to start a drive for contributions. I want a Patsfans dot com hat.Make the contributions tiered and give the big shot donors like me an extra perk....a Goodell dart board perhaps?..:biggrin2:

Not really "another perk", just a recycled perk that I had done before and just re-vamped it a little.

I am working on a pretty cool perk though that I think everyone will like...probably another month or so away. Only about 1/4 of the way through it so far, but it's something no one else has done and it's something I've wished I could have had access to a few times last season, so I decided instead to go ahead and put it together.

So stay tuned

I'm confused about the way this works, Ian. Am I supposed to go in there and start vicious rumors about posters and people I don't like?

Ian you are slipping. I looked through the whole thread on this site and not a single Adam Seward rumor on there at all.

Nor is there a single rumor attributed to Incarcerated Bob. That guy's gold. Gold, Jerry. One of these days, that guy is actually going to have a scoop that comes true and you will be kicking yourself for not quoting him on it.

Competition for Revis heating up...

AP Wire Service
Englewood, CO

Bronco's owner Pat Bowlen and General Manager John Elway reacted negatively to the news that #1 priority long snapper Danny Aiken resigned with conference rival New England on Thursday. Shattered glass blanketed the walkway below Bowlen's office at 13655 Broncos Parkway, Englewood just after 11:00 AM and a leather office chair was spotted rolling downhill toward Elway Drive. Bowlen and Elway quickly departed the Bronco's office complex and proceeded to Elway Executive Airport where they boarded Bronco One. Early indications are that Bowlen and Elway plan to counter the Patriots' stealth move by negotiating a trade for talented Darrelle Revis, the league's most dynamic corner back. Although free agency is not set to begin until March 11, the NFL cannot interfere with negotiations that take place outside the United States and it is believed Bronco One is headed to Revis Island, an independent sovereignty off the coast of Tampa. Little is known about Revis Island except for its exclusivity and the urban myth that Tom Brady has been denied access multiple times as were other NFL quarterbacks. A source inside the organization was quoted as saying, "Aiken ******ed us over and now we have to try and salvage the off season."

Who the hell is PFCentral?

A Patriot's fan site or something? Can we stick to reputable sources, I'm not about to believe anything football related from a twitter with 7k followers, if they had any credibility they'd be popular for that reason.

PFCentral are followed by the listed:
Darius Butler
NFL Players Engagement
Matt Chatham
Mike Loyko
Dana White
National Football Post
Patriots Insider

There's probably more famous people/players/reporters too, Twitter is just showing me those at the top because they're accounts that I follow.

So I don't think they're just some random guys with zero credibility.

If they're legit, great. I don't see it though looking through their posts.

I'd LOVE for the rumor to be true, it would be a bigger robbery than what we did to MN last April.

Because you have to invest some hard cash to get followers on twitter?

Where do I cash mine in?

One more, then I'll leave it. You realize numerous sportswriters and media have zero credibility?

OK, I'm done (shank,Borges Felger for a start).

I shared a link to which I assigned no credibility. What you do with it is entirely up to you.

PFcentral is probably the Lokyo guy or whoever said Abraham was going to the pats last year

Edit: yeah, it's old. Nothing to see here.

check the date...it's from 2013

PFCentral is Brian Harrington. Who? Exactly.

He also just went off on Nick Underhill and all of the other writers who cited him complaining that he should get credit since he reported it first. It has become inevitable but sad that "first" matters more than "reliable" right now. Of note (and causing the confusion in the posts right above this), he reported that Welker signing with the Pats was "imminent" in last year's free agency, and we all saw how that turned out. You guys can make up your own minds, but this made it awfully easy to decide that PFCentral isn't worth my time.

100% agree, the way he handled it screams 12 year old mindset. I pretty much don't care if he's legit or not.
