Probably the least intelligent football play we've seen in a long time. What did Meyers believe Mac was going to be able to do with it? This was why Bill let him walk in 2023. With that said, there's no defense for signing Schuster.
Bingo

Meyers was Corkys BFF. BB got rid of Meyers and not anyone else.

We have been over this like a million times?

The question is, "Given the option, would you want Myers on the team today?" The answer is No. Meyers is a nice guy and a good player, but middling. If we can't do better than Meyers, then we are going nowhere.

I could definitely forgive Stevenson’s lateral to Meyers, it was very short yardage and made perfect sense as a “may as well try” move to catch the Raiders off guard. But at that point they’ve already seen it so it’s not really likely to work again, and it’s sure as **** not going to work turning backwards and hurling it 20-30 yards to one of the least athletic players in the league with Chandler ****ing Jones barreling down on him. Like, really, what did he expect there? It honestly felt like he caught the lateral from Rhamondre and got confused and had an all-time level brain meltdown.

I just want to get to the bottom of what Matt Patricia meant on raising his hands during the play.

And it will never get old.

I didn't like Meyers even when he was here primarily because he was featured too much. His game reminds me of Jabar Gaffney and better suited for the #3 WR option on passing downs where he can be effective. I wanted Bill to let him walk so that money could be applied to a better option if available. I was never a fan of middling players eating up cap.
Comical.

Could you tell us more about these homegrown NE WRs that BB really preferred and list them for all to see?

David Patten
Tim Dwight
Reche Caldwell
Doug Gabriel
Jabar Gaffney
Wes Welker
Donte Stallworth
Randy Moss
Chad Johnson
Brandon Lloyd
Danny Almendola
Brandon Lafell
Keshawn Martin
Chris Hogan
Brandin Cooks
Philip Dorsett
Josh Gordon
Mohamed Sanu
Antonio Brown
Damiere Byrd
Kendrick Bourne
Nelson Agahlor
Devante Parker
JuJu Smith Schuster
Jalen Reagor

And, there are at least 30 more WRs that were not NE draft picks that BB signed who did not pan out. IE: Austin Collie, Dedric Ward, Donte Moncrief.
That is a long list. We all know why and that is and that's because Bill didn't/couldn't draft WR's. You're also leaving out the disastrous 2019 FA WR's.

If that's the case, the Patriots will be in the bottom 5 in pass yards this season. Reagor is terrible.
???
The number of yards by the #6 receiver will make almost zero difference.

Why? Cutting after 6/1 saved money. Cutting him before would have meant a $1.9m dead hit, cutting now is a $650k savings.
It males zero difference.

You are merely discussing how much of the dead money is pushed to next year.

It makes a difference as far as how much cap space is eaten up in 2024 and how much is eaten up in 2025. But since they are way under the cap in both years right now and the difference between both options is around $2M it is pretty negligible. That said, if they had gone on more of a spending spree, that difference could have been more significant.

Early life. Smith-Schuster began playing football at the age of eight. He changed his name in football program listings in 2012 from "John" to "JuJu," a nickname an aunt gave him when he was young, and legally changed his last name from "Smith" to "Smith-Schuster" while in college as a tribute to his step-father

Pretty sizable dead money hit this season I believe, but given the current cap space, who cares. Will be more of a cap benefit next season.
Sunk cost fallacy. Hes basically a net zero when you subtract the dead money and his cap number.

Where was this stated. Did anybody else say this ? This just seems to be posted by bills fanboys. Don't buy it .

Bill offensive side drafts and off-season signings were one of the worst .

We lucked into Edelman and gronk in 2010s and after that just years of inept drafting ...

Bills offensive acccumen after 2010s could be considered a 0 or maybe negative.

Especially at skill positions. Maybe Rham.
