Patriots Open Up as 3 point favorite vs. Atlanta

Not this team.

I have no rational explanation for why I have believed this for awhile now (maybe since the Ravens game?), but I had visions of a the Pats running away with one in the SB after beating two playoff opponents handily...so far, so good.

Cue the most spoiled fan statement ever: I would really love for the Pats to murder the Falcons. All these SBs that come down to the last minute are stressful as hell. I want a dominant win.

Yeah thats fine , I just dont think they are as bad as the numbers suggest, but they arent great, we should have success

Look what they did to a Green Bay offense that was cutting teams up. You're right.

True, but there's already been 8 blowouts out of the 10 playoff games so far. If I were simply a football fan, and not a Pats homer who feels snake-bitten by bad luck and long overdue for a stress-free SB win for NE, I would want to be entertained first and foremost

Pretty interesting to me. I had heard last week that the current line for pats Falcons was -6. If that was true, the Falcons must've REALLY impressed people today

It was initially -9 then went to -6 after our game against the Texans.

What's weird is since trufant went out they've been better. And he's widely considered one of the best corners.

You mean the GB offense that missed a FG, fumbled the ball on the goal line in the first two drives ? I didn't see anything impressive out of the Atlanta D in the first half.

GB offense without a starting RB there number 1 and 2 revivers hurt, and they don't have the G.O.AT.
We will put points in that team

Atlanta defense ranked 25th defense in yards and 27th in defense points per game. New England defense #1 in defense points per game at 15.7 points per game, 3 points better than the #2 team ( NFL Football Stats - NFL Team Opponent Points per Game on TeamRankings.com ).
Fixed it for ya.

Atlanta #1 scoring offense Patriots #3, I see a huge difference between these teams
Me too. Let's hope the trend continues two weeks from now.

Seems the nation will fixate on ATL having Julio Jones and having a few good pass rushers and won't look at basic data like this. Oh well.

They got in Rodgers' face and prevented him from dictating the game. They were more effective than Houston was last week.

Game might playout like the 4th quarter of the last time Patriots played in a Super Bowl in Houston. Both teams going up and down the field.

Looking over all there games what stood out is holding them under 30 and you win..

Wish there was a "Very Useful" icon.
Thanks.

I was holding my breath that the spread wouldn't have been "in your face" to Atlanta, say Pats by a TD or so.
Three points, to me at least, basically says it would be Pick-em, but they're giving the Pats the three points that usually go to the Home Team because of their experience in the bright lights.

My initial thought is that "Defense Wins Championships." The Pats have the better D. So, I'm feeling not too bad at this point.

This line is ridiculous. ATL should be favored.
