This is the comparison I wanted to see. Looks as though pick 150 is almost as good as pick 3.

EDIT. Olave is out with a concussion.
Not quite: 2nd half stats after half time adjustments

Rattler: 11/23 for 103 yds 47.8% 0 TD/2 INT 24.4 Rtg 1 rush for 6 yards

Maye: 12/19 for 138 yds 63.1% 2 TD/1 INT 98.14 rtg 3 rushes 23 yds

How about the 2 picks? Where do those factor in?
Historically, since that is the point of the stat you are referencing? It was 1 Less than Peyton Manning in his debut. 3 less than Brady in is 6th start.
Stat wise overall, It was probably the best first game of any rookie this year OR last year and was against a top 5, maybe #1 pass defense in the NFL.
One of those picks falls to the ground 90% of the time. Nitpick and negative much?

Everyone is saying how good he did despite the three turnovers he was responsible for. He was more entertaining to watch than Cryin' Jacoby but he played a big factor in the loss too.

Yeah, way too early on polk. That said, VERY suprising him and maye seemed to have like no chemistry. I was hoping to see some back shoulder type stuff and easy completions. It looked like polk has never played a down of football. Hopefully he bounces back next week.
Yes, he had a juju moment yesterday. I believe he was thinking to fast and wanted to make a play. I have been impressed with polk all season.. he's a rookie and will have his moments like all rookies do. I think we see him more involved next game. I'm just overjoyed that we have drake.

Perspective. Rookie in first game, 2nd and 3rd string Line causing zero running game, top pass rushing team in NFL, one of the best coverage teams in NFL.

Caleb Williams vs Texans 23/37 174 yds 0TD 2 picks 7 SACKS 51 rating
Josh Allen: 9/30 131 yds 1td 0 int 56.4 rtg

Obviously the turnovers, outside the second pick, were on him 100% and not something he was prone to do in college. But considering what he was up against the talent shown through, it was an impressive debut even with the rookie mistakes. The speed of the NFL vs college can be a shock. Despite that he probably had the best debut since Purdy.

This has not been mentioned but our Defense is @ss against the Run and Bentley ain't coming through that door.
PF2 you called this before. Hats off to you. The defense has lost to much talent to have to over come. They aren't good this year.

I would be surprised if Maye didn't develop into at least a pretty damn good QB. It's just gonna take some time.
Each game he's going to get better and better just as he did throughout the game.. he got better. Defenses will now have to game plan for him and that can only help the offense. He broke down Houstons Defense with runs, side arm throws outside the pocket.. he did something no other QB had done to Houston all season. Boutee is right AVP needs to become more aggressive now.

He did no denying that. But it was his first start as a rookie.. he diced up a top 5 defense, yes the TOs were a problem but he bounced back each time. It's a great feeling to know that we know have a QB that DCs have to game plan for..

Ben Brown's name was never called good for Guy who just came off the streets. Our Interior should get Stronger as the season goes on. Maye just needs to keep an eye on his outsides.

Agree. As I said all season without a consistent line up the line will continue to struggle.. we can blame wolf all we want.. but if you don't have the same guys playing together you are never gonna have consistent contitinuty. We may have a find in Brown. That was the best defense we will see all season and Drake still diced them up.

Agreed. What's getting over looked is Drake did this against a top defense.
Not by me I know it's not ideal but I would put Onwenu back @ RT and Robinson at Guard Jacobs is a turnstyle @ RT against anybody with substance.

You and I look through the same lens brother. The line is never going to be good this season because it's to many different guys in and out the line up.. I can't blame wolf for the injuries. I expect outside of owenu a revamped line next season. Whoodini Lowe once again....

LOL. LOL. Go back to Robinson and Onwenu? LOL
Well until Cole Strange gets back we have to give Maye more time to hit those deeps shots we haven't had since Brady.

Don't make me arch he was a little gittery at the start. That first pick was pure nervousness the second was a miracle catch behind a players back off a tip. Quit it!! Professor arch.
