No. Perry indicted that it would have to be something off the field that caused it (possible firing). He's pretty plugged in, I believe him. I think the Krafts love Mayo the man, even if they don't love Mayo the coach, and they are going to give him a lot of leeway.
You'd think that the Krafts would love the Patriots franchise and the Patriots fanbase more than any coach. If they keep Mayo after this year, they have misplaced their affection.

Well we know Kraft drinks twice then measures then drinks more then drinks again then measures then cuts:

Who would hitch their wagon?
Ben Caldwell?
Brian Daboll?
I don't know. All this assumes that Wolf and his staff is safe, and I am not sure that's the case. Nothing would surprise me now. Keeping everything as is, firing everyone, just the coordinators, just Covington or just AVP.

I think the rubber meets the road when the brand is damaged. Right now, they are still living on past glories. Full stadiums, plenty of gear sold, leading the sports news stories cycles, ect., ect.

We are a laughing stock nobody cares about the past accomplishments and all people will say it was all Brady.

Kraft has delusions of grandeur if he truly believes people see us as a superbowl or great franchise at the present time.

Stadium full? People going to Patriot Place? Tix still a lot of money?

This game is more proof for how badly this team is built and coached. And also more proof that Maye may be a really good long term option. It wasn't perfect, but another strong performance by him even if his stats don't show it.

Also saw a comment by a Bills Fan saying they can't underestimate us. To which i say, yes. We literally can not be underestimated. I do not believe it to be possible.

If they fire Van Pelt and not Covington at the same time - we're going to pine for the days of 3-14 in 2025.
Mayo will go to the mat for Covington. They with blame BB's groceries. But Mayo is already throwing AVP under the bus, so he'll be gone despite the offense outperforming the D week after week. I agree, 2025 is going to suck worse than 2024. I've decided I will take a break from the Pats if Mayo remains HC. Life is too short for me to be frustrated and upset about them for months. I've never done that over the 50ish years I've been a fan of the team, but Kraft asking me to swallow the Mayo pill is too much.

The Mayo hire alone shows us that anything can happen. Kraft has gone off the rails.

this is a comedy show this team. I like Mayo as a person. However HC isn't cut out for him. Sadly we are going to be stuck with this staff next season.
I don’t even like him as a person
He **** all over BB on the way out (the guy who drafted and gave him a coach position).
And throws whomever he can under the bus to save his balls during this years games
He should take some lessons from his 22 year old QB who takes all responsibility when it was not even on him

Damaging the brand takes a while. When I moved from New England down to Washington in the mid-70s, the Redskins were the toast of the town under then coach George Allen. Enthusiasm only increased with three Super Bowl wins under Joe Gibbs in the 1980s. Then Jack Kent Cooke died, and the team was sold to Dan Snyder. On the field the team began to perform poorly, but it took more than a decade for the enthusiasm to noticeably subside; empty seats at the stadium, few people wearing 'Skins gear, fans out doing other things on Sunday afternoon instead of watching the game. I hope this is not the future of the Patriots.

6 years in, we are getting close to no return. Great article to consider....

It was a good read
It is obvious RK screwed up
Let’s see what type of man and Owner he is in the Off-season

C'mon, posters here know much better than Kraft how to make money with the team and associated merch and facilities. How much did Kraft pay for the team. How much is it worth now? As an aside, plaease list all the teams that have won more Super Bowls or games since Kraft bought the team.

Many Boston fans truly deserve to have had the opportunity to be rooting for the Saint Louis Patriots. But then, Kraft isn't trying to please posters. He was a billionaire fan would didn't want his team to move, so he bought the team, and yeah he tried to make some money.

If they bring in Vrabel and dabol then we'll be fine. Drake will be get the very best of coaching from a QB whisperer in dabol and the defense will look like a patriots defense under Vrabel.

This 2024 team is an absolute joke! I cannot muster up any other word to describe it than a joke. What we see week in and out the same exact things. It's like as if the players are coaching themselves.

One is a leader; one is not a leader.
