This man approves...
[No reason. But if the thread is going to reference Chuck Barris and Henry Gibson, why not Pat Paulsen?]

And GM, this is a crucial off season because we need 4 starting OL at least 3 new WR's. On defense the DL and LB cores need an overhaul. This would be welcomed, but I would need to see the OC.
Correct me if I'm wrong, isn't this the kind of thing where you want a speedy free safety?Go easy on Mayo everyone knows he can't do anything for them between the white lines...
If they fire Van Pelt and not Covington at the same time - we're going to pine for the days of 3-14 in 2025.Mayo will not be fired. AVP will be the scapegoat.
I so badly wanted Spikes to be a cornerstone dynasty kind of guy. Such a bad ass player. Hightower ended up being a good consolation prize thoughForgot about Spikes. He was limited, but I loved his hard hits. Yes, overall Mayo was better. However, even Brandon Spikes had plays you remembered.
Boutte throwing Maye under the bus.
The guy has no idea how to sit in the zone. The throw was exactly where it needed to be to protect him.
BB would say that WE all failed. Coaches especially failed. For some reason, they made those plays in the past. Wonder what changed
I just cannot see how Kraft can justify firing Mayo after 1 season when Kraft knew who he was hiring.Retweet. Even my wife, a less than casual fan, said "geez, honey, these receivers suck!"
I think that's just media speculation. Phil Perry spoke at length about it this past week. He was under the impression that something egregious would have to happen for Mayo to get canned.
Part of it is experience of being around many different types of coaches, players, employees and other people. Just being in the Bill silo isn't gonna cut it.
I don't know if he burned bridges with BB but an assistant DC at the college level would be a great first step for him to get where he needs to be at this level.
If it's worse than expected, then he could. Or if it's a case that RKK hired him against Jonathan's wishes and Jonathan is in his office every Monday, holding a see-I-was-right meeting, then RKK could acquiesce.I just cannot see how Kraft can justify firing Mayo after 1 season when Kraft knew who he was hiring.
Who would hitch their wagon? If it's worse than expected, then he could. Or if it's a case that RKK hired him against Jonathan's wishes and Jonathan is in his office every Monday, holding a see-I-was-right meeting, then RKK could acquiesce.
But, to your point, I still believe that he's going to be given a second year, but he may need to bring in more "seasoned" coordinators for year two.
