Patriots' Hernandez questioned by police in homicide probe

Probably good legal advise but doesn't smell good. If police wanted to talk to me about a crime I had nothing to do with, I'd be happy to speak with them. If they wanted to look around, I don't see why I shouldn't let them look around. And why do they want to look in his house? There has to be a suspicion to get a warrant.

That's BS.

Here's why you don't talk to the cops w/o a lawyer, no matter what:

Don't Talk to Cops, Part 1 - YouTube
Don't Talk to Cops, Part 2 - YouTube

And that goes double after yesterday's Salinas decision by SCOTUS.

That's a great post for an internet forum but meanwhile in the real world, a lawyer would advise an innocent client to allow the search and arrange for it to be done (with the lawyer present, of course).

I am a lawyer. In the real world, I would advise my client to let the police get a warrant.

Hernandez' first call after being contacted by the authorities was in all likelihood to his agent who instructed him not to say a word without his lawyer present.

Accounts differ on whether a search warrant has been obtained or will be sought. The extent to which Hernandez is or is not cooperating is merely speculation in the press at this point.

Having said all of that, I have bad feeling about this. Sure hope I'm wrong ...

They're not there to be your buddy or take sympathy on you.

REASON #1: Talking to the police CANNOT help you.

If the police are talking to you, it’s because they suspect you have committed a crime. If they have detained you, it’s because they already have enough evidence to arrest you and they want to see if you will admit it and thus, give them an even stronger case against you.

Whew. For a minute there I was worried.

Reports saying 10 cruisers now outside his home.

This is the worst news.
Not what I expecting today!

For a team which prides itself on avoiding distractions i can't think of a more tumultuous offseason.

Yeah, but if you were 100% innocent, wouldn't you want to have your name cleared immediately. If I rent a car for my friend in my name, and he winds up dead, and I'm 100% innocent, 1) I let the cops do whatever they want in my house, even without a lawyer present 2) Be as cooperative as possible, hell I'm bending over backwards giving the cops any info I could think of to help their case.

Being uncooperative and making the cops get a search warrant certainly looks suspicious. I don't feel good about this. Reminds me of the days following OJ's wife's murder. OJ was a hero to me growing up, and felt sick to my stomach during those days, chase and all. Now I hate OJ.

This has nothing to do with YOUR role in society. Hernandez is a multimillionaire public figure. Are you? Yeah, I thought so. Plus, you're just a flat out fool to trust the fricking cops so blindingly. Where you live? In a maple syrup Vermont wonderland forest? Cuz it don't play out like you say a lot of the time in the real world.

Gawd. Hey, I have a bridge for sale. You interested?

Getting worse.

Two males reported taken in custody from his house.

What kind of lawyer?

One so meticulous, that he posts links to freaking meat packing plants, of all things. Yeah, because if it's relevant to tha case, Deus is gonna be right on top of it! (priceless)

You mean how the media decided to just obsessively report about Gronkowski's injury?

Or that they picked up a third string QB that was let's be fair no worse than the one they cut
