Re: Washington downgraded – Ruled Out

Why even keep this guy on the active roster? IMHO, he belongs on IR.

Re: Washington downgraded – Ruled Out

OMG, not Leon Washington!

Man, they just can't catch a break.

I'm changing my pick, Panthers 60-Patriots 3

Colinsworth needs to wipe his mouth ...sheesh

Re: Washington downgraded – Ruled Out

Two totally wasted roster spots: Washington and Bequette.

Re: Washington downgraded – Ruled Out

I am not sure at what point you should give up on him and IR him but I know I want him returning kicks instead of Blount. If he can't get healthy he can't do it and there has to be a free agent who could help more somewhere else or even a returner.

You think we will score 3 points? Remember our starting field position is going to probably be the 1 or 2 yard line without Washington :stars2:

Re: Washington downgraded – Ruled Out

Vereen on IR with him on the roster makes little sense

I have to assume they see him as an asset in the playoffs when field position is going to be even more important. If you flash back to the 2013 AFC championship game they really struggled in the return game McCourty returned 4 kicks for an average of 22.3 yards and Welker had 4 punt returns for 14 yards. We had drives that started at our own 9 yard line, 16 yard line, 20 yard line and 2 drives that started at the our own 21 yard line.

If he can help with that I have no problem with his being here, but I don’t think they had to leave him on the roster they probably could have left him as an UFA and signed him when he was healthy but maybe they were concerned about the Seahawks scooping him up when Harvin was out.

Re: Washington downgraded – Ruled Out

Yeah, let's swap Danny Woodhead for Leon Washington. That's a great idea.

Re: Washington downgraded – Ruled Out

must be nice to make all that money hanging out in a hot tub

True, true Washington has it good, but Jake Bequette doesn’t even have to worry about getting waterlogged in the hot tub.

Washington = :bathbaby:
Bequette = :couch2:

Great idea unfortunately the trade deadline has passed :tsk:

Re: Washington downgraded – Ruled Out

It's okay, he'll be unveiled in the Denver showdown :rocker:

At least by keeping him on the roster this long it seems BB is taking the KR portion of the game seriously. It does pay to have a legit threat back there, hopefully he eventually suits up.

Re: Washington downgraded – Ruled Out

With Vereen back, they aren't going to dress six RBs (if you count Devlin). Washington inactive was a given. I wouldn't be surprised if Bolden is inactive too.

If he was healthy he'd be active to return kicks otherwise what is here for?

Re: Washington downgraded – Ruled Out

The only reason he is not on IR is they are hoping for a late season comeback and being an asset during the championship round... Blount has done a pretty good job.. not stellar, but steady.

Re: Washington downgraded – Ruled Out

Would have been a "touche" moment, but how's that working out for NE?

Not bad. The Pats are 7-2 and in pretty good position for a first round bye. I love how people biatch about this team like they are 2-7.

Re: Washington downgraded – Ruled Out

Danny Woodhead sure did help the Chargers beat Miami...oops.
