These injuries are really pissing me off.

We have a ****ing BYE WEEK and Dennard injures his knee? What the hell

It's official.. Dennard is out for monday

Dennard looks to be out Monday night vs Panthers

Cornerback Alfonzo Dennard will miss his first game of the regular season Monday against the Panthers.

Dennard is "out" with a knee injury, according to a source. He missed his first practice of the regular season today, two days after the knee first appeared on the injury report.

All signs point toward Aqib Talib being ready to return after missing three games with a hip injury, and Kyle Arrington and Logan Ryan will fill the second and third spots on the depth chart in Dennard's absence.

Pats just can't get a break/ Talib possibly back, Dennard out.:bricks:

With Talib, Dennard, Arrington all at differing levels of gimpiness. I wonder if seeing Julian Edelman as a DB is a possibility.

No! For the Love of God, just NO!!!!!

We have suffered enough. Bring on Cole, Wilson...

Feels like someone put out a contract on our defensive players.

Re: Dennard looks to be out Monday night vs Panthers

I look at it this way, every team has their share of injuries and the patriots got most of their early and have adjusted to them, as a result they have experience filling those holes and should be ready for the play-offs if they don't keep losing guys. Some other teams, like the Chef's, have made it through the season in good health, and if the percentages bear out then at some point they will experience their share. I'm not wishing injury on them, just stating the fact that very few teams go through a season without taking their share of injuries. Next man up for the patriots, ryan has played well in his opportunities so hopefully that continues and they are even more experienced when january rolls around. And let's not forget, some of the Patriots greatest seasons have come when they have suffered more injuries than any other team in the league. (2003-2004)

So with Dennard and Gregory out, what happens when they go with six DBs?

CB - Aqib Talib
CB - Kyle Arrington
CB - Logan Ryan
SAF - Devon McCourty
SAF - Duron Harmon

and then is it:

Marquise Cole

or

Tavon Wilson.

In the last four games they've been going with three safeties which suggests Wilson but I suspect they like Cole more.

Might not mean anything, but:

I haven't seen Dennard in the locker room, but he does have a full bag packed for Carolina already.

We don't know that dennard is out for sure. It's always this "source". And with this, I doubt he is out. Wait for it officially.

Several media sources reporting Dennard is out for Monday's game.

Packed bags have turned out to be false hopes at least once this season.

Carolina ranks 3rd in the NFL in rush-to-pass play percentage, with 52% of their offensive plays being running plays (only Seattle and San Francisco run more often). In addition they have run the ball more often than any other team in the league. With that in mind I would think that for this game the Patriots would prefer to have another safety rather than another corner on the field.

I'm just glad his packed bags don't mean he's headed to the Nebraska State Home for Wayward Men.

Re: Dennard and Gregory officially ruled out for Monday night

Dear lord WTF. :bricks: I guess I need to suit up to play Monday.

Re: Dennard and Gregory officially ruled out for Monday night

Yes, Dennard and Gregory are out.

Arrington and Talib are questionable.

I wonder if they'll run some base defense with 3 corner's and single high safety like they did against the bucs.

Re: Dennard and Gregory officially ruled out for Monday night

how this team has 7 wins with these injuries is beyond me

Is Logan Ryan going to play both CB positions?

The team believes. The coaches are preparing there players well. Players are stepping up. And guess what, we are 9-0 if the rain didn't show up in Cincy that drive and the officiating was correct in NJ. The thing is, we should be getting healthier and syncing up as we near the end stretch and the playoffs, key for making a run to the big stage.
