Patriots and Hunter Henry “far apart on an extension"

Super thin market for free agent tight ends this year. With Dalton Schultz re-signing with Houston, the Pats and Hunter Henry supposedly not being close to an agreement, and bigger needs for the Pats in the draft, it may be another year before we see an upgrade at TE.

1. Dalton Schultz
2. Hunter Henry
3. Noah Fant
4. Gerald Everett
5. Adam Trautman
6. Austin Hooper
7. Mike Gesicki

I think the TE isn't that thin.

I still like Drew Sample as a good All-Around TE. He's a better blocker than Henry or Gisecki. Better at catching the ball in my opinion. He's just been buried in Cincy, imho. It will be interesting to see if Van Pelt looks at him. He'll know him from his time with the Bengals.

You do know that Pharaoh Brown turns 30 in May, Right?
There’s nothing there beyond Henry. Draft a couple.

March 8 Mod Edit: Patriots re-sign Hunter Henry.
