Why?? I thought the emphasis was taken off ST's. That seems like a little much for $3 Mill dollar player Tops.

Sorry delete my thread. Seems like the new regime has basically surmised they felt like the quarterback and coach were the main problems the last few years. They have re-signed so many guys at this point.

Okay with that deal, guessing itll end up closer to 5m per than 7m per. Seems like Hes improved each season and a key part of this d

Don't really hate it but definitely don't love it. Tavai seems redundant somewhat as an old school linebacker who can help stop the run but gets completely exposed in the passing game. He couldn't even get a finger tip on some of those Dolphins running backs on the edge last year.

Not a fan at all. Still no RT, LT or WR1.
Whoever those RT, LT, and WR1 is they can't tackle so we still needed Tavai.

Because he's a starting linebacker not just a STer. And he's really developed into a good backer.

Not to mention with new kickoff rules LBs are probably going to get a lot more STs snaps. With less running on the kickoff I think Izzo types will be used more than Slater types.

I'm fine with this. He fits our defense. We all thought he sucked when he came here from Detroit. He's been a good player for us.

Take it for what it's worth. His overall PFF grade last year was 86.6.

I'm kind of excited to see our LB corp in action this year with Bently, Tavai, Taki Taki, Jennings and Mapu in the mix.

He’s fine. I’m really excited run back the 3-15 Patriots again. Should be real improvements this season.

Slowly eating into the 2025 cap space. OTC had them at $88m prior to this deal, which is the 2nd highest, but that excludes the huge amount from 2024 that they can roll over.

They still have a number of big name players on the team whose contracts are up after 2024:
- Judon
- Jon Jones
- Peppers
- Wise
- Godchaux

Plus the 1 year deals they signed this offseason - Jacoby, Chucks, Hooper, Osborn, Uche.

Will be interesting to see how much room they’ll have for external guys next offseason once all is said and done.

LOL, I'm more excited about the all-caps expletives from @captain stone coming later today.

A minimum-wager could perform in similar fashion to the Jalopy. Waste of ****ing money.

This is a signing of which Little Billy Notgoat himself would approve, and for which he would've been Justifiably lambasted.

Never seen so many re-signings/extensions from a 4-13 team.

Keeping dudes whom the HC "likes": Meet the New boss...

Rolling over the cap space to 2025 to sign more special teamers and JAGs. Can't wait to hear how close they were on Tee Higgins!
