All year, you blamed Mac for everything that went wrong with the offense. The guard misses a blocking assignment and a defender breaks free pretty much unblocked. It was Mac's fault for not getting rid of the ball fast enough. Stop trying to rewrite history.
Multiple people explained why you were wrong with images and your own video.

Then you tried to say Mac only had 2 seconds to throw because he was hit at the 2 seconds mark of the video even though the video started well after the snap and Mac was already finished his drop. Then you stopped talking after you got called out on this.

@Triumph
You never knew Mac Jones sucked, because how could anyone if the almighty Rob didn’t figure it out first?

Buy your lottery tickets today. It was a pure blind luck opinion you repeated over and over again. It has nothing to do with you watching the football games.

Wait, so I got my posts deleted last year and banned from threads for saying Mac Jones is terrible and we were going to be terrible, then I repeated the same opinion this offseason before we even went into week #1, and now I should buy Powerball tickets because it was incredible luck?

Is it really that hard for you guys to admit you were just wrong and other people were right? Lol
Again, saying Mac is terrible and predicting that he would be so bad they couldn’t even trust him to start is not the same thing.

They were plenty of people who thought he wouldn’t be “the guy,” which is fine - but they at least needed “a” guy with the hope he could be decent. At the end of the day, it is what it is. They took the best option available based on the data that was available at the time (I get that other guys have emerged in the draft), and I give the coaching staff credit with adding patients and exhausting all their efforts with him, which Belichick actually said yesterday after the game, which was surprising.

Otherwise, when I said zero people, I meant nobody saw him becoming a player they wouldn’t even be able to trust to even start. Anybody that expected that should be either picking lottery numbers or buying stocks.

But debating on whether or not he would ever be a good quarterback is one thing. What transpired this season is something completely different. And it’s obviously disappointing. Hopefully, Zappe can develop into something until they figure out what direction they’re going to go into next.
I'm certain I heard several people say "anybody but Mac" even last year. And I don't blame the Pats for picking him, it seemed like a great idea at the time. It seemed like an even better idea halfway through his first year.

There was literally a Zappe train thread before the season started. All of the football-genius Mac supporters were there to tell us how stupid we were.

Who is the starting quarterback for the Patriots now?

At what week did the fanbase start pivoting to draft talk?

Again, this is your forum, but your basically just making stuff up right now, and claiming any proven-right opinions contrary to the board-narrative were reached by dumb luck.

And multiple people like Bedard and Lazar said you all were wrong. And they watched the game film. And some of the people who claimed I was wrong claimed Mac could have thrown it to Henry in the back of the head or "ran" into the tackler when he was clearly trying to avoid it. You all were all over the place and just claimed you were right that it was clearly on Mac's fault and not the guard who clearly screwed up the blocking assignment and didn't block the defender.

My biggest issue was that he showed enough in his rookie season where he looked like he could’ve been good enough to get us through until they found someone else. Clearly, they were going to keep drafting quarterbacks. Obviously, they even drafted Zappe just one year later, so that philosophy wasn’t going to change.

I was preaching patience when it came to giving him some benefit of the doubt to see what he could’ve been. Just because I was wrong this time doesn’t mean that’s going to be the case with every player. At the same time, I also told people to not go too hard away from Zappe, because he deserves that same benefit of the doubt.

At the end of the day, all that matters is that the team is at least competitive on Sundays, so we don’t have what we have right now. But it doesn’t have to be one extreme to the other.

Why didn't you post their opinion on that specific play then? I think you're lying again.

You don't have to effectively come to Rob's defence acting like what you and he did were the same thing. They were wildly different.

You say that, but go back and find a single post where someone said Mac was going to completely implode this year and not even be able to start. Again, not a single person saw this coming.

I never read Kens novels because I just don't have the time. Most people seemed to like them. But would it be correct to say he was one of the chief finger waggers at anyone who questioned the HC of the NEP? I think I'm right, but please someone correct if I'm not.

Come on Ian, "anybody but Mac" is essentially the same thing. Plenty of people did not trust him to start. Whether that's because he would continue to suck and throw INTs, or he would really suck and throw even more INTs, is a distinction without a meaningful difference.

What Mac Jones showed me in his rookie season was that Josh McDaniels could run a high-percentage-throw offense with training wheels against ****-teams before he got his ****ing face stomped in, in the first round of the playoffs, with the most embarrassing post-season loss I can even remember, which Bills fans will be bringing up for years and years to come.

Why didn't you post their opinion on that specific play then? I think you're lying again.

Because they said it on their podcasts. Bedard said it also on 98.5 on his Tuesday session. He blamed the o-line for all the sacks in that game. And I am pretty sure I mentioned it in that thread.

Saying he completely sucks is the same thing as saying he’ll completely implode. There’s no point in going to find exact wording when saying he is hot-garbage is the same exact thing.

But there is a culture on this board that being right is more important than the Pats winning. I guess it comes with losing.
Maybe you don't know this but absolutely nothing said on this board affects the Pats winning or losing. Nothing.

All we have here are a bunch of posters having opiniins and making observations. Some are correct, some are wrong. Yet others are woefully wrong and others one could say are prescient. That's all we have.

Just because they may have criticized the o-line generally for that game doesn't mean their opinion aligned with yours on that specific play. More nonsense.

The Patriots defense literally gave up a TD on every Bills drive in that game and you are going to blame Mac Jones for the loss. All things considered, he played better than most Patriots in that game. That post season loss was clearly on the defense. Mac was 24 for 38 for 232 yards, 2 TDs, and 2 INTs. Not great. Not awful. But since the Bills scored 47 points in that game, Mac would have had to be perfect for the Pats just not to get blown out.

Lol, good on you then for predicting him to go from being average to completely broken and unusuable. With a new offensive coordinator who used to work for Alabama and everything.
